A surf lodge hosted by a long time established surf shop in Siargao - you know you're going to have the best time. Has everything you need. Clean, spacious, beautiful surroundings, nestled inside a very quiet local neighbourhood away from the main road. The BEST thing about Fat Lips are the team that runs the place. Tim, the owner, is super knowledgeable and accommodating, and always out there surfing with me. Always good to yarn about anything and readily takes on any requirements or suggestions. Buboy, the lodge manager, welcomed me into the lodge and it was just amazing to be able to chat so freely and immediately he wanted to take me out surfing. We went on many surf sessions together, essentially being my guide! The team really made my trip amazing, I can't wait to come back! Stay here if you're in Siargao.

You simply must stay here if you visit Siargao. Don't even hesitate. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like friends. We felt sad leaving - we stayed 6 days but wish we had stayed a couple of weeks! The design of the hotel is so lovely. The shared living room that's full of books and art was my favorite place to have a quick drink and wind down after a long day. In the mornings you can also have a delicious breakfast there. We especially treasured the time we spent talking with the owners and Mitch. They made us feel like we were visiting friends. Also their three dogs are the cutest!!! Our room was huge and stylish, with lots of room to hang clothes and store bags. The bathroom and shower were especially wonderful. The room was cleaned so meticulously every day. You can have a truly relaxed vacation here because they will arrange everything for you - tours, transport, honest reccomendations of places to see and eat. I'm dreaming of going back here again. We really enjoyed our stay despite the weather being very poor in the first couple of days. Everything was super well organised and if we had some questions George or other staff members would always help us out. We felt very well taken care of as George picked us up from the airport, drove us when we had to leave (extra charge ofc) and gave us plenty of travel tips on how to get around the island. The restaurant (located ~10 meters from the crib) food was delicious as well, plenty of options. We ate there everyday!

    At first I kinda did not like the way going to the exact...

    At first I kinda did not like the way going to the exact place, but when we found out the other way/easiest way, we felt relieved. The owner was very accommodating and also the in-charge cum reservation/receptionist, she was very kind and helpful, she had given us all the information regarding the places where we should go and enjoy. It was a very short stay but a worthy one, very affordable and family friendly homestay.

    Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao.

    Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao. It's a lot more peaceful than down south but there are beautiful and much les crowded places to explore. There's good 4G signal so you can stay connected but just travelling 15 minutes further north and you're totally off grid which is great. Easy to get to Secret Spot and Tangbo beach for surfing, Alegria beach for tanning and swimming, Tak Tak falls for cooling off in the heat, Kolekbibo, Lokal Hub and Izustarri for tasty food/drinks and lovely views!

    I was too early for good waves, but is an amazing place! The island is so beautiful, the people is great! Is a really save place and friendly. Local vendors do not bother you. Lot of traffic, but good vibes all the time! Love Siargao

    Dapa was not our destination just a pass through.

    Dapa was not our destination just a pass through. I stayed at Club Tara Near Sohoton Cove. The reason for the overnight stay in Dapa was because the PAL flight landed after the last ferry from Dapa to Socorro. Remember to research the ferry times for Dapa to Socorro. Do not pay P 5k from Dapa for a ferry. This is a scam. This review is from April 2022 and the area was hit with a typhoon in December 2021 and is opening back up after the pandemic.

    I had a problem with the booking because Alexias hostel there are 2 units. One in El Nido and other in Siagao. When we booked to Siagao as a mistake but we stayed at El Nido unit. So I can talk about Alexias El Nido: You that read my review, should meet this place when you come to El Nido, even to take some beer or a te or a cofe in the sunset. The hostel is open to receive you just to chill with the view. The place is amazing! Need be discovered

    We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised...

    We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. I would not return for the beaches or areas, but would for the surfing.

    Poor water pressure in the bathroom.

    Poor water pressure in the bathroom. Air conditioning was not working. No extra fans available. Care taker not helpful. I had to book extra room to accommodate my group since the original room they gave us is too hot, aircondition not working, no fan and windows won’t close. I had to pay extra money for the inconvenience.
