We spent four days with Liseth and her husband, Will. They helped us with our arrival and picked us up from Monkey Island with their boat. The food was delicious and healthy, made entirely from natural ingredients sourced locally and from their garden. Water, tea, and coffee were freely available. Everything was very clean and well-protected with mosquito nets. In the evenings, we could charge our devices. We also went on various jungle tours, tried fishing, spotted dolphins, petted monkeys and sloths, and chatted with the locals. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcomed us with open arms. There were very few tourists, making the experience truly authentic. My sister is a vegetarian, and her dietary needs were thoughtfully accommodated. We had so much fun, and our guide Asuco is an absolute expert in flora and fauna—highly recommended! You can even try hunting your own frog and doing Kambo if you like. For anyone seeking an authentic Amazon experience, Liseth and Will are the best choice. I also found the accommodation very affordable. Meals are included in the tours, and you don’t really have to worry about anything. Just let them know what you’d like to see and do. We’ll be back! Thank you, Liseth and Will. See you soon!

Really nice, modern hotel with big rooms. Air condition and Wifi worked perfectly, and special thanks to the receptionist who managed to get our clothes washed even we check in a bit late, and also ordering taxi really early in the morning.

Staff is incredible profissional and friendly: Avil and all the other chicos are great! They will help you with restaurant, laundry and practical stuff recommendation. They genuinely are happy to help. The hotel is very clean, safe, breakfast included and centrally located just 3 blocks from main square. Rooms are very spacious, queen bed and most importantly with AC. Pharmacies and the supermarket Portales are just 1 block away. They are very flexible with the bookings and, in my case, due to a flight delayed, they allowed us to change the dates of the booking in a very attentive way.

    All the meals were great and authentic to the area,good variety. The four days were all scheduled from morning to night which we loved. So much to experience from nocturnal jungle hikes and going out in the nocturnal hunt canoe ride. Many boat excursions, swam near pink dolphins, caught several piranha fish, saw many species unique to the area. Birdwatching. Took out the kayak and paddle board during our 2 hour afternoon rest. The remote private bungalows were so comfortable and clean. Loved resting in the hammock on our balcony. Guide Mosises spoke English well , very knowledgeable and grew up in the area. Flew to Iquito, had hotel pick up, a van drove part way before loading the boat to go down the Amazon river to our remote lodge 140 km upstream from Iguito. Very easy all inclusive experience.

    I loved the spacious rooms and how thoroughly clean they were, something that is very important to me when booking a stay. Same goes for the bathroom. Rooms were elegant without being overdone. Though the room was massive, the AC cooled exceptionally well and the WiFi was the fastest we found in the city. You get to choose out of a few options for breakfast and it is served to you downstairs, simple and satisfying. Learning about the history of the building adds to the wonder of it all, you can tell it’s a unique spot. It was more than a place to sleep, it was an experience.

    The staff was extremely friendly and helpful sorting out unexpected problems like taxi to another hotel in another city I was to travel afterwards. My Spanish is very basic, they called the other hotel on my behalf and translated what I needed. A walking distance to the shopping centre with nice restaurants and the beach with surfing courses available ad hoc.

    Iquitos is a very poor city that does not have much in terms of tourist sites other than being the gateway to the Amazon, which is amazing. We flew in late, left for the Amazon tour early the next day, and then spent 6 hours in Iquitos before heading to the airport. We walked around the plaza and main tourist area but that took an hour or so. To be honest, I don’t think I have witnessed greater poverty, especially by the docks where the boats leave to go on the tours.

    The hotel is located on the esplanade that forms a pedestrian walking street with many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge (really large), with high ceilings, air conditioning, microwave, fridge and useable bathroom. The breakfast is very nice with a choice of different food types.

    Iquitos is quite unique from the rest of Peru.

    Iquitos is quite unique from the rest of Peru. If you book tours, make sure it's with a well known-big agency to avoid scams. The jungle experience is raw, is wild and probably something to remember. Out of all Peru, in Iquitos was the place I felt less safe but nothing happened, I guess it's just a perception and it is caused by the fact that is less 'touristy-filtered', you see the dirty places as well, the vibrant streets and also the pollution. On the Amazon we were accompanied by an armed security guard, it was the first time, as a tourist to see this. That's when you realize that the place can be less safe that Cusco, Arequipa or so. Expect adventure, stay open minded and a little carefull. Traffic is crazy, going in tuk tuks is a must do. Overall, some experience we will definitely not forget.
