A beautiful place! The garden is lovely and the rooms look great. We were in the jungle with the owner, Papu, for many days. He is a very skilled guide with excellent English, who doesn't only have a lot of knowledge of the animals and plants, but also cares about safety and the wellbeing of the animals we observed. We were very lucky to even see two tigers on different days with him. I really appreciated his knowledge of birds too. Very happy to have had you as our guide Papu!

An authentic gem on the edge of Bardia National Park! The staff of this family-run lodge is very friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and based on the vegetables they grow in their own garden, and it is very well located in a quiet area. Anil, who speaks English, French and Hindi, even helped me organise two safari days in the jungle. I really recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and affordable place to stay close to Bardia National Park.

This place is family-run. The location is perfect, and while the facilities are basic, they include everything you need. We stayed in a small traditional cottage overlooking the beautiful flower garden. Waking up in this environment is incredibly peaceful. There’s also a small restaurant, with a menu that offers a subtle nod to European cuisine. Mr. B is retired, but still very involved with the guests. His sons Bibek and Bibesh, along with Loken, are experienced guides who take you on safari. They show great respect for the jungle and all the animals that live there. Because everything is freshly prepared, it can sometimes take a little while for your meal to be served. I definitely shouldn’t forget Bibek’s wife—on the days we weren’t on safari, she took great care of us. Everyone here is warm, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile for you. During the time we were there, spotting tigers, elephants, and rhinos was a real possibility. All in all, this place is truly a hidden gem—and one thing’s for sure: we’ll definitely be coming back here again.

I absolutely loved everything at this homestay. You will get a true insight of what the culture and way of life is staying around this amazing nepali family. Sarita's food is truly something and it all comes from the their garden since Basu is doing an amazing work around the property. The house is in the middle of wheat and mustard fields, it is so relaxing to walk around in this atmosphere. Shardul will help you figure out whatever problem you have, his kindness is on another level. Not to mention the wonderful experience you will have in the jungle with him. Walking safari is about patience and luck but it's definitely worth it.

My stay at Wild Planet was simply amazing! The place is very beaitiful and peaceful! All areound is green 🌿🤍 I was staying in a mud cottage with two beds and a private bathroom, the cottage was so cute! I had everything i needed, and everything was very clean. The wifi was working perfect. The price is more than good for what they offer! I was arriving in Bardiya very late in the night and they made me feel safe since i was in my way by bus. They arrenge a tuk tuk to pick me up at the bus station. When i was leaving they also helped me with the bus, booking a place for me and even meeting me at the bus stop. I felt really at home, everyone at the place is very kind, helpful and respectful. Thank you for everything 🙏

If you would like to stay in a true Nepali homestay, Nanu and Kali’s place is amazing. They offer a very pure, yet comfortable experience. They have two rooms for rent, and live on the property themselves. Nanu will be able to guide you on hiking safari’s as well for a good price. Apart from that the food is amazing. :) Would 100% recommend anybody looking for a Nepali experience to go here!

I really don't know what to say - words fail me.... Gratitude, respect, thankfulness!!! Thank You Very Much, it's like saying nothing... 20 out of 10 possible points won't reflect the experiences I had here!!! Simply-you have to stay there for a while to experience it all. My appreciation goes togoes to Sonja and her family for taking care of me and as well to everyone each person of the team-individually. An extraordinary people and charming place!!!

It was incredible being able to wake up to breathtaking views of the river and wildlife. We were very pleased the airport pickup all went smoothly. The treehouse was beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Thought had gone into every detail of the design. The meals were delicious and the chef even asked us what type of cuisine we wanted for the following day. We felt safe and cared for at all times. The organisers were wonderful hosts.

I love the village life and how they treat life as a simple entity. Most of the food is organic and I think the villagers aren't fully aware that their food is 100% organic. The surrounding villages around Bardia blew my mind, I love the place
