The island just screams calm and positive vibes. One of the best place, I’ve ever been. This was my first time visiting Pulau Perhentian however the resort staff contacted and guided me from the very beginning to have hassle free journey. Once we arrived to the resort, we were welcomed by the crew and Johan made sure our stay at the resort were comfortable and safe. One the best person, we’ve get to know. The staff at the resort are super friendly and very nice people. Ahmad who is pic to pool, accompanied me to the beach where it was surrounded by trees which made me feel a little bit anxious however he offered to come along to make sure I feel safe even though the walk was 5-10 minutes. We were treated like vvip and truly made us speechless to express our gratitude to them. Planning to go to the resort again next year during peak season to have more island views and activities.

    The hotel is perfectly located on the small island (the most animated) and Long beach has restaurants and bars all along it is just perfect! The hotel is modern and charming at the same time, the rooms are well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant offers a menu for all tastes at very affordable prices and with a great chef (all dishes were very good). Many thanks to all the team of the Bubu Resort, great people who were very helpful (even to find emergency medicines for my sister who had an asthma attack). A big thank you to Miss ong, Mendy, Wei, Jackson, Mustafa, Mehdi for your welcome and your kindness and your smiles. Our stay was more than perfect thanks to you!

There is a lot of building and development going on, and clearly this place has ambitions. There are two massive shopping malls close to the drawbridgewith a great range of shops inside, and the whole city had a very pleasant vibe.

    We liked the bed, it's firm and good for the back. Host (Nurul) was friendly and helpful. Her local food recommendations were spot-on for us. We had nasi dagang, ikan bakar and satay. The price of accommodation is most affordable. I will return when in town. Overall great stay

    I only passed by the town during my short trip to tanjong jara. But there’s everything u needed. Drugstore chains, clinics, banks and loads of restaurants with local delicacies. Oh and a visit to Rumah Kraf Batik at Jalan Nibong stesen is a must - a local artisan batik specialist. You can find high quality caftans from various materials; cotton / silk, shirts, baju kurung, parios and scarves.

This island is a perfect gateway for families as it is not too far from the mainland and is quiet as compared to other holiday islands in the East Coast.     The hotel is spacious and provided with quite complete facilities e.g. big swimming pools, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym. A good place for short vacation. It's located next to Kijal beach which is clean and my kids likes it alot. However, the hotel may need upgrading as it's amenities are quite aged.

    The nature and the sea life was wonderful.

    The nature and the sea life was wonderful. The bad thing is you always have to hire a taxi boat or you have to take a tour to travel in the islands. You always have to bargain and never believe what was written on the boards. Swimming with the sharks and sea turtles were wonderful. Snorkeling tour is a must see in the island. Coral life is very exciting.

    I cannot say much as my stay in Kuala Terengganu was short, only for three days, and the main purpose of my visit to KT was to visit my relatives. Didn’t do much sightseeing. However, it is a good thing that there is a large modern shopping mall within walking distance from the hotel that I was able to visit and spent time shopping and enjoying lunches and dinners in the restaurants. Also had a taste of durians in Kuala Terengganu which I didn’t have the opportunity to in Kuala Lumpur. Overall, it was a pleasant trip.

    A lot of the mini marts and eateries there mainly cater for tourist so a lot of the prices are a bit on the high side. Even 7-11 is charging more for basic items like tooth paste, shower gels and all. Alcohol is not available widely, so it's wise to purchase at nearby towns before heading over.

    I was in Dungun for a diving trip to the nearby Tenggol Island, which is about 45 minutes speedboat ride from the nearby jetty. There are plenty of good, affordable hotels in Dungun, especially along the road beach plus quite a few homestays around the same area. There are also plenty of restaurants in that area meaning you do not have to travel far away to get food if you stay around the area.
