- From £538.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 685 reviewsAmazing resort, we loved it, and only have one other resort to compare too, but Kuramathi was really great! The food was excellent, plenty of choice and variety, and especially the pastries were fantastic. The cocktails were really great and there is a lot of choice included in All-Inclusive, which was not the case in a different resort where there were only a handful, but not at Kuramathi. Thanks to them I now have a new favorite cocktail (the Italian Colada). The staff was attentive and we never had to wait long for anything, taking drink orders as soon as we set down, never forgot an order, always driving us to where we wanted to go with the buggy, and always friendly and accommodating without it feeling forced (again, comparing to another resort). The house reef was amazing, snorkeling at the jetty, we saw a turtle, plenty of blacktip reef sharks, and even a manta ray once! The other places to snorkel are accessible by channel, which I would only recommend during tide, as they are super shallow. We only tried a few but the channel near Thundi reception had a few manta rays in the afternoon and a lot of exciting things to see! Beware the titan triggerfish though, there are plenty around but if you keep your distance they don't mind. Island Coffee bar makes great iced latte, but our favorite spot to hang out was the Laguna bar - it has a nice infinity pool, cocktails, and a nice spot to swim with a bit of coral to visit, and access to some channels leading to the reef. Even when the weather wasn't as great, it was nice to hang out in the lungers there or be in the pool. Evening entertainment was hit and miss but the resident band at the time (Antidote) was really great, amazing singers and great music selection. Kuramathi also has a great app and a map to guide you around, which can be very helpful.Guest review byThomasAustria
- From £779.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 144 reviewsOur stay was absolutely incredible. We were greeted with the lovely reception at the pier after a very comfortable short trip via speedboat. We then enjoyed the brand new beautiful, spacious and quiet over-water villa with a wonderful sunset view and private pool. Ibrahim was our host during our stay - he was always available when we needed him and exceeded with everything we asked for! From helping us get to places, sorting restaurant reservations, to giving us tips for snorkeling spots and having answers to all our Maldives-related questions. The resort and facilities were perfect - all restaurants were amazing, especially Baan Huura and Origami. Roshan and Sony at Origami truly made our night special. For people that like activities, there is more than enough to chose from. We really can't wait to be back. All in all a perfect place to stay and relax and enjoy time away from a busy time at home.Guest review byofmaqsterQatar
- From £343.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,226 reviewsRight after baggage claim I went directly to both #4 just inside the airport where my worries ended. My baggage were taken care of, through the speedboat, directly to the bungalow. The speedboat cost was included in the price. Very friendly staff, always available to assist. Exceptional quality in both breakfast and dinner buffets. Several restaurant choices, which I did not try in full; maybe next time.... Very nice beach with white sand, corals and tropical fishes. Choices for SCUBA, snorkeling, kayaking or just enjoy the sun and breeze in one of the beach bars.Guest review byGeorgiosOman

One day is plenty.
One day is plenty. You can walk to the main square and all the main sights in one day. Entry to mosques is limited to certain times of the day (1-2) hour window so plan accordingly. Food/drink is fairly pricey and allow for 10% service charge and 17% Tax on published prices. Most places price in USD but will convert to local currency (at the prevailing exchange rate).Guest review byGwyn PryceAustralia - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic - 10.0
We liked almost everything.
We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.Guest review byDaniela AntonovaSpain - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada
