TurkeyFirst of all, I highly recommend you read it until the end. An excellent facility on a small and quiet local island full of underwater riches. As soon as you put your feet into the water at the tourist beach, you are surrounded by dozens of different species of fish, but swimming with the fish seen on Youtube is a priceless experience. Mr. Ahmad, the owner of the hotel, is a very polite and helpful person. He is very professional in making all the necessary arrangements for you when you arrive from the capital to the island, in welcoming you at the entrance and when you leave the island. If you want to participate in off-island activities, they will help you as much as they can. You have breakfast as an open buffet at the best restaurant on the island. You should definitely try the product made especially from fresh tuna. Among the 4 hotels I stayed in on 4 different islands during my Maldives trip, this was definitely the newest, cleanest and cheapest. I can guarantee that you will feel at home in this hotel. I would also like to consider that restaurants, off-island activities, and many other things on the island are cheaper than on many tourist islands.
Also; Mahibadhoo may not be the best island in the Maldives, but it is a fact that there are better ones in terms of nature and tourism. But if you really want to relax in a quiet environment, this quiet and tiny island located in the natural wonder South Ari Atoll is definitely one of the best local islands you can find. Never mind that the tourist beach is smaller than some, because there are only a few people on the beach at most, so the beach is yours! I definitely recommend splitting your Maldives holiday across more than one island, as I did, and devoting at least some of it to this island and this hotel.

SwitzerlandEverything has been outstanding during our stay. The room is very nice, with staff coming everyday to clean / change towels if needed. The restaurant is excellent, with a large choice of great dishes. We ended up eating there every night, on the rooftop, under the stars. Much worth it the extra 2-3$ you pay for this quality. The whale shark excursion we did with the hotel also more than achieve our expectations. Not only we were lucky to swim with them for 30min, but they also recorded outstanding pictures / videos from us, with their high quality equipment (much better than a simple go pro !). Also, if you’re here for romance, make sure you book a romantic dinner by the beach with them. The spot they build is simply the best I have seen in my two weeks vacations in the Maldives across 4 islands (including a resort island); a real no brainer ! Last but not least, the staff ! Everyone is so professional, so kind, so smiley, you immediately feel extremely comfortable ! Thank you to everyone (including the manager who is extremely well organized, always around and helpful to plan all your vacations and activities by WhatsApp ! This team is definitely the main asset of the hotel. Will with no doubt comeback one day ! Thank you whaleshark beach ! Take care !

RussiaThe property is nested in pristine jungle a bit further away from the busy streets and closer to the beach area. There’s a bit of construction happening outside, which does not interfere with you having a great time. The hotel is being run by a highly friendly hospitable family with all the members taking part in looking after you - they are cooking, cleaning, showing you round the island, arranging tours for you, speed boats if you want to explore other places, everyone speaks perfect English. The rooms are clean, spacious and well decorated. There is a no plastic policy in the hotel, which also makes it environmentally friendly. Tea, coffee and breakfast are available in a comfortable lobby area. You can also rent bikes (including bikes with child seats). The staff are very friendly with the kids as well, i could even sometimes leave my son with them while working, which was extremely convenient. The wifi connection allowed me to hold multiple zoom sessions. All in all, i highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to explore this beautiful welcoming island!

PortugalThe Hotel followed us up since arriving at Malé airport counter and picked us up at speedboat both ways.
Hotel staff was exceptional, attending and very helpful showing what to do and where to go on the island. The room was very comfortable and the air conditioned kept a very good temperature inside the room all day. The meals had only 2 options but they were very well prepared, with very tasty local dishes varying each meal. They also organised 2 amazing excursions and we were guided by the Hotel manager personally all way. The Hotel manager was most kind, very attending and also most determined to show us the Whale Shark and to making us swimming among several Manta Rays. The experience of being at high sea guided with such care turned out to be most exceptional at all levels and made us feel very confident on our first snorkelling experience.

HungaryDhangethi is a very nice island, with friendly locals, evolving tourism, and really nice accomodations. Atoll Residence Dhangethi stole our hearts. First when we saw the pictures and read the details of the profile. Second, when we got there and saw with our own eyes how lovely the place is, and how welcoming is everyone. We spent 2 weeks in a superb room. The food was simply fantastic. Assad and his team did everything they could to ensure our stay is perfect from every angle.
Traditional Maldivian breakfast (Mas huni) was so delicious, would be nice add as a regular breakfast option.
We cannot wait to go back!

HungaryThe hole place had a really nice vibe. The garden was amazing, the room was clean and well-maintained. The customer service was excellent, the owner was really helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every time. They also provided additional programs like snorkelling and night fishing which were amazing. There was also an option to have dinner at the accomodation. The portion was really big and the food was really tasty. All in all this accomodation is one of the best place I’ve ever stayed. Thank you chillax Thoddoo for making my vacation unforgettable!

We were even lucky to see one Manta. We enjoyed free snorkelling equipment. Only be aware that there are always strong currents arround the island, but we thought they are pretty safe. Besides - water sport instructors organize a free snorrkeling guide twice a day. We enjoyed a very good soundproof of the water villa, even on strong wind / waves day / night. The food is always fresh and tasty. The wi-fi is pretty good. We didn' lock the door of our water villa - we felt very safe there. We enjoyed a Vertical reef and Coral garden excursion - highly recommended. There is some very good vibe on this island which you can't love. It's not a cheap resort, but it's worth 100%. They cleaned twice every day and refilled the water bottles in the morning. They cook excellently in the restaurant. A large selection of local and Italian cuisine at dinner. Also fish every day. The kitchen staff also took care of our gluten-free diet - they baked gluten-free bread and pastries and prepared gluten-free pasta. Free water served at dinner. Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄 The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling. The reef is very far out and at times the current was very strong. Prices for trips to see the whale sharks were quite expensive at 75 USD. And there were tons of other boats at the same spots - very zoo-like. Bikini beach, the only beach you can swim at in only your bathing suit is fairly shallow and windy. You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.Guest review byYvetteSaudi Arabia - 10.0

A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.Guest review byErichAustria
