Very beautiful place, big room with all you need with excellent breakfast included. parking available at site i was impressed by the staff attitude, they are trying to solve you all your problems / requests, good talk as well, treating customers like family. they help me to get my delayed luggage from the flight (making call to the airport, making sure they will deliver the luggage). One of the best hotels we stayed at in Mauritius. Spotlessly clean with excellent daily housekeeping, and incredibly friendly, helpful staff. It was an absolute pleasure to be there. The location is great – just a 2-minute walk along the shore to Mont Choisy Beach. It would, of course, be wonderful if the hotel had its own beach, but the property itself is very small, cozy, and intimate. The hotel grounds are beautifully green, and the view from the pool is simply stunning. The only downside was that our room was the closest to the road, so we could hear traffic noise, especially in the mornings when trucks passed by. Apart from that, everything was fantastic – especially the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness, hospitality, and willingness to help from the staff. I, unfortunately, didn’t remember their names, but the lady at the reception and the gentleman who carried our luggage to the room were the best! We met them every day during our week-long stay, and it was always nice to exchange a few words and feel like a truly valued guest. Staff score: 100 out of 100!

Toparis is more a guest house than a hotel. One really felt being a guest. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. A lovely pool in the patio. The beach, across the street. The staff was wonderfully attentive. I would highly recommend Toparis.

this is a truly beautiful modern boutique hotel. the rooms are fabulous with lots of finishing touches and lovely decor. beach towels are provided in your room. modern bathroom and shower with amazing shower gels and shampoo. reception staff really helpful and restaurant staff attentive. the half board option is well worth the money, it was a La carte menu every night giving you a 3 course dinner. lovely intimate lighting in a beautiful setting at the side of the infinity pool. the pool was stunning. there’s nothing we didn’t like. rooftop bar fab for watching the sunsets. love this place

    Mauritius is called by its locals as paradise island i mean everyone says amazing things about the country they originate from however the people of mauritius truly mean it when they say it, its a beautiful colourful, green and tropical country with endless miles of beaches always a stone throw away. where ever you go you see beautiful coconut trees, palm trees and mango trees and some stunning birds, colourful dragon flies and bats the nature alone is so breathtaking. the food, the locals, the price point of excursions, the weather and the beaches were literally out of this world. its a country that i would genuinely consider going again and again infact i actually cant wait to step back into mauritous and forget my blues, if your a avid diver or snorkler then mauritius is a must, we did so much in the space of 9 days from paragliding, snorking with turtles, undersea water walking, diving, water sking, off road riding using ATVs/quad bikes, watched horse racing, zip lining, shopping in there vibrant colourful markets, visiting historical sites that were rich with history and different cultures, eating out local street food and world class cuisines for very little money. super affordable and what a beautiful hidden gem of a country. family and myself were completely blown away by it to the point we are rethinking ever going back to places like dubai over beautiful tropical natural countries like mauritius. we also had a friendly parrot that would visit us daily and gladly sit amongst us without being scared or shy and share some food with us.

    Absolutely lovely, loved my time at Troux Aux Biches.

    Absolutely lovely, loved my time at Troux Aux Biches. The sand is soft compared to other beaches that I've been in Mauritius. The atmosphere was not crowded , which is good for me as I have society anxiety. Got breathtaking pics of the sunset xx can't wait to comeback xx !!!

    We both enjoyed the stay.

    We both enjoyed the stay. The staff was polite, respectful. they couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and pleasurable. Deepak Goolaria and his kitchen team prepared an eggless cake for me to celebrate my birthday. Sandeep and Vikram, Sucheeta and Jason were always working and talking to us how was our stay going.

    Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.

    There are 3-4 notable restaurants, up to 5 street food options. winner's has everything you need. The beach is very good, if it was crystal clear that would be dreamy. Sunday evening (confirmed from a local, it's happening every week) a bit loud, a bit different than others. Difficult to eat outside because of the high volume.

"The team at the Deck went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. The food was delicious, and the service. their customer service is outstanding.     VAlue for money.Limited facilities and size, butthen if you pay more you have Le Meridien next door. SO overall experience very good. Rooms feel cramped as they have no windows just sliding glass doors but well fitted out. BUt out of the room all else is good . Location is Very good. Palm trees in front then Beech, cant get better.

    An ideal spot away from the bustle of Grand Baie. Perfect for couples. There is a large public beach a few minutes walk away which has all the local facilities. Beach shacks selling local food and fresh fruit juices. The local people were all very friendly and the taxi rank nearby was ideal for planning trips.

    Roches Noires is a nice place.

    Roches Noires is a nice place. Keep in mind that in our summer (july / august) it is winter over there and the east coast will have a constant breeze (up to 4 BFT). Having a rental car we found that almost all of the days we would drive to the west or south coast as there is no wind on that side during their winter.
