- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 9,707 reviewsWe are surprised by all those negative comments. I spent in the Alexandra hotel 4 days ( 3 nights ) with my fiancée. We picked up the superior room with breakfast for 128 euros. We are very happy with our choice, but I want to analyze some aspects of the offer. a) Location. It is perfect. You are very close to the sea ( 3 minutes literally) bus stop that takes you directly to the airport ( 3 different lines ) and you need to go only 5/8 minutes maximum. For those to complain about the noise: It is normal for a district that is full of bars and a very touristy one. If you have a problem with sleep you can always check the area before booking and find someplace that will be quieter. It is not the fault of the hotel manager but people who can't do proper research before booking the place. b) Breakfast. It is fine. Maybe should be more warm options for vegetarians but the hotel write in the offer that they are made in ENGLISH STYLE. By this, you know what you are paying for. Also as I spoke with the staff the cost of the breakfast is 9 euros. For 9 euros the meal is 10/10. You need to include the cost of the products in what you get. There was ham, cheese, toast, tea hot unlimited, lemonade, iced tea, juices, sausages, bacon, boiled eggs scrambled eggs, fruits ( apple, oranges, kiwi) and some tomatoes, salad, and a couple of other things that I don't remember. The hotel is also working with a Sicilian restaurant 2 minutes form the lobby that offers you a 10% discount if you ask the receptionist or hotel manager. It is a very nice touch and the food there is perfect. c) The swimming pool. It is ok. What I would change is that from the floor of the swimming pool couple of tiles fell off and you can hurt your feet if you are not careful. It will be good to replace those tiles which fell off. Also I think one person from the staff should be controlling the area because sometimes some of the guests whare smoking cigarettes.Guest review bylittle_littlePoland
- From £213.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 5,985 reviews🇲🇹 #SolanaHotelSndSpa, #Malta An exceptional stay from start to finish❗️Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm and gracious welcome that immediately set the tone for a truly delightful experience. The staff across all departments were consistently informative, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, reflecting a high standard of professionalism throughout the property. The breakfast buffet was superbly curated, offering both variety and quality, while the rooftop restaurant delivered a memorable dining experience with its refined ambiance and panoramic views. The rooftop swimming pool proved to be an idyllic sanctuary, particularly during golden hour, where sunsets cast a mesmerizing glow over the horizon — a perfect setting to unwind. Evenings were elevated by tasteful live music performances, adding a charming vibrancy to the hotel’s atmosphere. The infrastructure is impeccably maintained, blending modern amenities with thoughtful design. Conveniently, public transport is just a brief 3-minute stroll away, while ride services such as Uber and Bolt are not only affordable but significantly expedite travel around the island. In every respect, Solana Hotel & Spa exemplifies comfort, convenience, and understated luxury. I would highly and unequivocally recommend this establishment to discerning travelers seeking both relaxation and excellence❗️ 🇲🇹 #SolanaHotelSndSpa, #MaltaEsperjenza straordinarja mill-bidu sal-aħħar❗️Mal-wasla tagħna, ġejna milqugħa b’mod sħun u sabiħ li mill-ewwel ta ton pożittiv għal żjara tassew pjaċevoli. - Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 5,724 reviewsThe best experience ever. Completely fell in love with this place. The interiors are fantastic. Rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need. In the room you have a phone and tablet to order everything. WiFi coverage is excellent even on the 7th floor. Plenty universal plugs and sockets in the room for electrical devices. An extremely wide, tasty and fresh selection of buffet for breakfast. Everything was superb. Both the hotel and restaurant staff is very professional, prepared and helpful. The hotel manager is great. They gave us also an upgrade for the room. Position is excellent for public transport, the beach, restaurant, nightlife and shopping. You can reach everything by foot too. The neighbourhood is clean, quiet and safe. I recommend this hotel. Will surely return. Surely worth your money.Guest review byLoItaly
- From £146.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,170 reviewsIn general, the hotel was very nice, although we encountered a small problem on the first day we arrived, Ms. Josefa and Mr. Ali, who were the managers, solved our problem immediately and helped us in every way during our stay. Also, it should not be forgotten that Rachid Bey was definitely a caring and relevant staff member. The staff at the Infinity pool and the room cleaning service were all very nice and respectful people. It will definitely be among the hotels I will go to again.Guest review byBarborosTurkey

The town is in a central position in the island, so it’s easy to travel to different places in Malta, even though there aren’t too many sights right here - We have been to many cities and we think this was the dirtiest city we have been to.Guest review byMárton - 10.0
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great.
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. St. Paul’s Bay is a pretty town with shops, restaurants, and beachside cafes, easy to get around using ferry and Uber.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Everyone spoke English which made life almost too easy!
Everyone spoke English which made life almost too easy! If you like history, this is THE place for you. It's easy to get around and my friend and I loved using the gondola taxis. Valletta is very good value for money and we were surprised at how cheap many things were, eg. happy hour cocktails great value at 2 for 1, so 2 cocktails for 4.50 euros! It was very hot and humid, so you might like to book somewhere with a pool. However, we preferred to be right in the centre and booked a day spa with the use of a pool which was lovely. Public transport very efficient, cheap and easy to use.Guest review byCaroKoreaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed enormously in the last 25 years, I think it is still one of the most charming parts of Malta. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, a fair few of which I have visited and every one was excellent. I could not fault the village in any way I would certainly recommend this as a holiday destination. Although very hilly, I believe that is part of its charm and I have stayed in other parts of Malta, all of which have their own attraction.Guest review byMcLennan - 10.0

Relaxing village with an active but not too busy, harbour. Mainly the local Maltese and tourists with families or couples/small groups. Not many from England. Great pizza parlour on the harbour. Taj-Familja was a fabulous family run fish restaurant about 10mins from property. Recommend them both.Guest review byTsuiyenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to visit the busy areas of Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. The marina is amazing with some of the best restaurants in Malta just a short distance away on foot or by Uber or Bolt. Buses run to all parts of the island from stops within walking distance of the centre. Breakfast at the Busy Bee in Msida is a must as is a visit to their ice cream parlour in the evening.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom
