We initially booked this place for 3 nights, but ended up staying 6 — and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision! The accommodation was absolutely perfect: very clean, the beds are super comfortable, and located in a peaceful setting and a 5min walk to the beach. A special thank you to Priyantha, our host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! He was always kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. His warm hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel right at home. If you're looking for a place that’s clean, relaxing, and hosted by someone who genuinely cares about your stay, this is it. We would gladly come back anytime. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful bungalow, the room is big, clean and new. There is a big garden very well cared for. Breakfast and dinner are tasty, and they have been served on the tables in the garden which was very nice and cozy. There is a beach immediately on the left, near a cemetery, empty, and very beautiful. They have their own sunbeds for the guests. It was really beautiful to see the sunset and sunrise from there. For the next visitors: if you come to these beautiful parts, unfortunately the dogs situation in Trincomalee is quite sad. Please, bring some food with you. Next to the hotel there are two sweet dogs that would love some cuddles and food.

We just left the most wonderful hotel ran by the sweetest loveliest people and I wish we could have stayed for a whole month at least. If you’re hesitating whether to book this stay or not, book it right now! Where to begin: The location is magical, located by the sea with stunning views and an overall calmness that surrounds the area. The beach (with private hotel access) is gorgeous and with direct views to pigeon island. The sunrises and sunsets at CBeyond feel out of this world as they’re so beautiful. The pool is great and so inviting, perfect for an afternoon dip. The hotel is stunning; the decoration in the shared areas such as the living room, dining room and porch is tasteful. Our room was so spacious, with loads of natural light and the most breathtaking views to the coast. The bathroom is well equipped and the shower has great water pressure (this is quite important to me). The bedroom has a gorgeous private balcony with a couple of lounge chairs where I’ve been sitting to watch the sunrise (very recommendable), bed is big and very comfortable. The breakfast served in the mornings is the best breakfast I’ve ever had, no joke. The fruit platter is fresh and delicious, the pancakes and french toast very delectable but the cherry on top are curry’s. Lunch and dinner are also great and very tasty! Saving the best for last: the personnel running the hotel. I have never experienced such wonderful treatment like this before; they all have been so kind, lovely and helpful. Went above & beyond every time we had any inquiry and were so nice about it - we had some problems with our tuktuk and they took care of it. We celebrated a birthday here and they made the day feel 10 times more special!! Eric & co have been so lovely, they made our stay here so memorable, it’s going to be impossible to top. Thank you all so much for your kindness, we hope to come back really soon!!

The location is perfect, its clean and quiet. The hotel itself has the most beautifully maintained garden, very serene and clean. The rooms are very clean with strong aircon and a fan. The beach is a few steps away from your room. The restaurant area is beautiful, overlooking the sea. The staff are exceptionally friendly accommodating and the dinner in highly recommend. You can feel the passion and care they put into the food they make. The menu changes everyday and its an experience not to be missed. We felt fully refreshed after our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. If you're looking for somewhere calm, beautiful with great food and easy access to other beaches to explore this is a great spot.

We were their first guests. The staff is super friendly and they always wanted to help us with arranging a snorkeling tour or other plans. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom too ! They have a very nice balcony for chilling that they will convert to a dining area later. I would definitely recommend this place !!

    During our Sri Lanka vacation, we stayed at the Amaranthe Bay Resort for the last two nights. The Junior Suite we booked was spacious and elegant, with the highlight being the Jacuzzi Bath – a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. Adding to its charm, the balcony offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding nature, and we were fortunate to witness stunning sunsets over the nearby lake, creating unforgettable memories. Although the resort's large inviting pool was enjoyable, some sharp corners around the area caused minor inconveniences and led to an unfortunate toe injury. Nevertheless, our overall experience remained highly enjoyable. The hotel's convenient location allowed easy access to the ocean and beach, where we found several delightful restaurants for lunch or dinner. Inside the resort, we had the pleasure of dining at their lovely restaurant, offering reasonable prices and a varied, tasty breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive, and while there was a minor disagreement about the exchange rate during payment, the managers handled the situation with professionalism, swiftly resolving any issues and leaving us with a positive impression of their commitment to guest satisfaction. Amaranthe Bay Resort's well-maintained and peaceful ambiance made our stay perfect.     We enjoyed our stay in this hotel (5 nights), especially thanks to the amazingly friendly and caring staff and manager of the hotel! They are trying so much to feel their guests comfortable! Daily we used the large hotel pool and the lonely and clean beach (when the sea was calmer). One evening they prepared only for us luxury dinner as a gift for us, it was delicius! The hotel restaurant is perfect, we have eat there everyday. Almost everyday we made short trips to Trincomalee center and for sightseeing around via tuk tuk. The staff takes care for the hotel carefully - daily they clean the nice green garden, pool and also the beach. The hotel is not new, but it would helps to improve the impression with so much little - just like do new paint in the rooms or repair the tile in the pool for safety.

    We loved the location - only a couple of hundred meters from the stunning Niavelli beach. The staff were all super friendly. Outside, our room had 2 wooden deck chairs for us to enjoy and inside the room we had a fridge. Unfortunately for us, we were only staying the 1 night here, if we had more time we would have loved to stay longer. It seemed like they had body boards and bikes for guests to borrow (although we didn't ask to use them) and had a hammock in a shady spot in the well looked after garden area that separates the restaurant from the accommodation area.

    This was such a wonderful place to end our trip. The staff put us so at ease and made our stay incredibly relaxing. We were in the smallest room available, that is described as having no window, however it's much nicer than it sounds! There are glass doors which bring in plenty of light and the tree in the bathroom is enjoyable. We had some great meals at the hotel and the beach is less than a minute away. The hotel has close connections with a tour operator (Boatman) who was great and offered trips all over the area. Would definitely stay here again.

    Top hotel at a wonderful beach, very nice wooden cottages, friendly staff and reliable service e.g. the airport transfer. On the way from Colombo to Nilaveli and Trincomalee You are passing jungle and national parks, having wild elephants on the road, an exciting experience also, even though it is a car ride by around 5 hours. Warmly recommended!

    Beautiful rooms with aircon and wifi. Great location. Very friendly staff who decorated our room for honeymoon. Delicious food - best curry we have had in Sri Lanka.

    This location was absolutely beautiful.

    This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

    I liked the small hotel we stayed in on the beach front (Mithra Paradise) and the semi-private beach. A real gem if you're looking for a quiet romantic place. Much better than the big faceless commercial hotels. I would recomemmend the small guest houses in the whole of SL for this reason as the service is exceptional and they are usually family-run so they put a lot of love and effort into pleasing their guests. No mosquitoes in July. Avoid the dolphin watching 'chasing' tours. Loads of boats making a big noise and running over the dolphins. Poor animals. You only glimpse them for a few seconds and the boat ride is hell on your back. Try the snorkelling instead.

    Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

    it was great there.No worries about the sea,just the wind was blowing a bit strong.Com[any always around you,you are safe there.You can book snorkelling,boat rides,sea tour any time,many options available.saw about 200 DOLPHINS!fisherman always fuzzing around in the morning.Annoying fishing boats.

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places...

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places in Sri Lanka. After travelling around the island, we decided just to completely chill and not check out the other beaches. We will definitely go back again and check out a few of the other beaches along that coastline. Food is fantastic and the people are very friendly! When we read up about the island, they said that this was the less developed area, but as far as I could see it was the same as most other places. Definitely has everything you need and one of the best places to completely unwind.

    A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring Uppaveli, so if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s a perfect spot. The surrounding countryside looks beautiful too - I wish we’d have had more time to explore. We ate at Sara’s fish restaurant, where the seafood kottu & prawn curry were delicious.
