A new hotel, opened six months ago. The rooms are very spacious, independent cottages, beautifully decorated, and the beds are super comfortable. The infinity pool is right on the beach, which is very flat, perfect for swimming in the sea. As for the buffet, both for breakfast and for lunch at the hotel if you're so inclined, it's spectacular, very varied, and of high quality (I counted more than 30 different desserts!). Special mention should be made of the level of service, superior to many 5-star hotels I've stayed at, both in Europe and Asia: room cleaning, tea and coffee service, twice-daily towel and amenities change, fast and impeccable room service, etc. And of course, the attention and friendliness of all the staff is extraordinary. In short, a truly five-star hotel with a quality/price ratio that's hard to beat.

I am writing this review out of the pure joy I have revived by staying this place. This is a newly opened Cabana style hotel situated right next to the Trincomalee beach (2 min walking). The cabana has all amenities including WiFi, a nice place to sit outside every room which is perfect to sit back, relax and have a coffee/tea. It was a great convenience to have our tea bags and coffee pouches in the room along with water and a kettle so we could prepare ourselves a cup of coffee anytime we liked. The people who run the Cabana are incredibly nice and very helpful and are always available to help out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay near the beach at a great price!

We had a perfect stay! The owners and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. The entire property is brand new – we were the very first guests! Everything is spotless and beautifully designed. The swimming pool is amazing and the whole place is just a dream. The breakfast was delicious, and we also had lunch at the property once – it was excellent and highly recommended. The hostess Chandi was so warm and caring – I felt like I was at home with my mom. Every wish is taken care of immediately – they truly go above and beyond. Highly recommended to everyone! We will definitely come back!

We were their first guests. The staff is super friendly and they always wanted to help us with arranging a snorkeling tour or other plans. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom too ! They have a very nice balcony for chilling that they will convert to a dining area later. I would definitely recommend this place !!

    During our Sri Lanka vacation, we stayed at the Amaranthe Bay Resort for the last two nights. The Junior Suite we booked was spacious and elegant, with the highlight being the Jacuzzi Bath – a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. Adding to its charm, the balcony offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding nature, and we were fortunate to witness stunning sunsets over the nearby lake, creating unforgettable memories. Although the resort's large inviting pool was enjoyable, some sharp corners around the area caused minor inconveniences and led to an unfortunate toe injury. Nevertheless, our overall experience remained highly enjoyable. The hotel's convenient location allowed easy access to the ocean and beach, where we found several delightful restaurants for lunch or dinner. Inside the resort, we had the pleasure of dining at their lovely restaurant, offering reasonable prices and a varied, tasty breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive, and while there was a minor disagreement about the exchange rate during payment, the managers handled the situation with professionalism, swiftly resolving any issues and leaving us with a positive impression of their commitment to guest satisfaction. Amaranthe Bay Resort's well-maintained and peaceful ambiance made our stay perfect.     The hospitality provided by the staff was exceptional. We took the train from Colombo and arrived Trinco early in the morning, around 6.30 am. When we talked to the hotel manager (Richard), he arranged our room and we got the chance for a early check-in. Richard you are superb!! The room was spacious, clean and AC/hotwater were good. Although this hotel is located a bit far from beach the facilities are good. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can order your food and it's also very tasty. I would recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

    The room was quiet, comfortable and well set out. The place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Hosts were very efficient, friendly, helpful and attentive. Happy to look after baggage on the day of arrival and departure outside of check in and check out times. Lovely location , a clean pool , delicious food was also available . I would definitely visit again.

    This location was absolutely beautiful.

    This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

    I liked the small hotel we stayed in on the beach front (Mithra Paradise) and the semi-private beach. A real gem if you're looking for a quiet romantic place. Much better than the big faceless commercial hotels. I would recomemmend the small guest houses in the whole of SL for this reason as the service is exceptional and they are usually family-run so they put a lot of love and effort into pleasing their guests. No mosquitoes in July. Avoid the dolphin watching 'chasing' tours. Loads of boats making a big noise and running over the dolphins. Poor animals. You only glimpse them for a few seconds and the boat ride is hell on your back. Try the snorkelling instead.

    Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places...

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places in Sri Lanka. After travelling around the island, we decided just to completely chill and not check out the other beaches. We will definitely go back again and check out a few of the other beaches along that coastline. Food is fantastic and the people are very friendly! When we read up about the island, they said that this was the less developed area, but as far as I could see it was the same as most other places. Definitely has everything you need and one of the best places to completely unwind.

    A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring Uppaveli, so if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s a perfect spot. The surrounding countryside looks beautiful too - I wish we’d have had more time to explore. We ate at Sara’s fish restaurant, where the seafood kottu & prawn curry were delicious.
