Beautiful new boutique hotel on the very quiet Kalkudah Beach. A beautiful setting with gorgeous garden and sea views from every room. Spacious accommodation including a large room and bathroom, and many communal sitting areas. Each room also includes a private terrace or veranda with comfortable furniture. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, with a special mention to the chef Manoj who created beautifully presented, freshly cooked and most importantly delicious food. He catered each meal to our specific requests and dietary needs. It is a wonderful property to stay and relax. It’s worth noting that there’s nothing to walk out to and the town is a bit of a distance, but you will have a lovely time staying and relaxing at this hotel. The beach itself is stunning, the water is calm, clean and warm and its is fringed by palms. Paradise

We spent three nights at Sunrise Pasikuda and it was perfect. The hotel is immaculate and our room (we had a family suite) was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom and two toilets, and a big balcony. We loved the little extras like the fruit plate and flowers on the bed. The location is great. The hotel has a huge pool which leads down to the hotel beach which is clean and quiet with a beach bar. You can do water sports and we did a boat trip that took us to local reefs with excellent snorkelling. We had all our meals here and I can’t fault the food. Breakfast and dinner are buffets with wide choice and there was entertainment every evening. We liked playing pool although the pool cues need an update. What made our stay so special was the staff at the hotel. They are so warm and welcoming and just want you to have a great time. We will definitely return.

The location was great only a five minute drive to pasikuda beach. Kalkuda beach is right outside the gate.specially have to mention Hamiz as he went above and beyond right from the moment we arrived . Hamiz is the kind of guy that makes a normal trip a great one.

Everything was perfect – the place is incredibly quiet and peaceful, with everything brand new and spotlessly clean. The staff were super friendly and welcomed us with ice cream, which was such a sweet touch! The food was delicious, and the location is just a short walk from the seaside. We had the beach almost entirely to ourselves – such a rare and relaxing experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for tranquility and comfort!

Resort was directly on the lagoon,and there was a beautiful cool breeze through the hot time of the day. Anything I needed was provided....I just asked. I was even able to use the fridge. Rooms are spacious and super clean.Resort is super safe and monitored by security cameras . I slept really well,there was no noise to disturb me. I highly recommend this property. It's fantastic value. Fishing and boating is possible also.

Here for 3 nights but loved it so much, we came back for another 3! Beautiful location by the lagoon. Excellent restaurant with friendly, professional staff and tasty food of good sized portions. Recommend the chicken biriyani! The pool was great and kept our kids entertained for hours. Overall just great customer care especially by Adhil the Resort Manager who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. So if you need a relaxing break, highly recommend Rivera Resort!! 👌

Waking up to the breathtaking sight of the sunrise the morning was one of the best parts of our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the décor added to the serene, coastal vibe. The bathroom was modern, with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool, which offered a gorgeous view of the beach. It was beautifully maintained and perfect for cooling off after a day in the sun. We spent a relaxing afternoon there, enjoying the peaceful ambiance, the beach view, and the great service by the poolside. We dined at the hotel restaurant several times, and the food was delicious, especially the fresh seafood. The location of Passi Villa was ideal for a beach getaway, with easy access to the ocean and water activities. The calmness of the surroundings allowed us to truly unwind, making it a perfect retreat.     I recently stayed in this hotel in Pasikuda, Sri Lanka, which is beautifully located on a clean beach with gentle waves during this season. (September 2024) The hotel rooms were modern and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. They also have a dedicated water sports section that offered exciting Jet Ski rides and a snorkeling trip to the nearby "Kayankerni" Coral Reef for a reasonable additional cost. Snorkeling was an amazing first-time experience for both my wife and me, and it was impressive that even some 5-star hotels do not have a water sports center like this one. The hotel features a large swimming pool with a depth of 9 feet at one end, perfect for a refreshing swim. The location is ideal, with no stones or corals that could hurt your feet while enjoying the beach. Although the hotel manager was not present during our visit, we were warmly greeted by the manager from their sister hotel, who made us feel welcome.

    For our second visit to Passikudah we chose Anantaya Resort and we couldn't have chosen better. From the first moment to the end we were looked after by the friendly staff, especially Rishopana and Kanogitha. We booked this resort for a room with direct access to the pool and we were lucky to get perhaps the nicest room. But what makes this resort special is the people who work here. We also spoke with the friendly beach/pool attendant S. and likewise the waiters and cooks at breakfast and dinner did everything they could to make the guests happy. Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. My husband was delighted that the waiters here could spin a beer with a foam cap. The room was very nice and clean. The pool was cleaned regularly too. Free sunbeds on the beach. Beautiful beach and walks. If we had not booked another stay before, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back here soon!

    What a plaxe the Maledives are in no way more beauriful Pasikuda is a calm tropical beach come true! The ocean is perfect, the beach so white and quite ....... The design of the hotel is exquisite only a couple of sun chairs on the beacht lots of space for white sand makes the views from the very large swimming pool just lovely. The food was of very high qualitiy and the team so friendly :) We will come back, oh and di I mention the SPA extremely relaxing very good Ayurveda treatments fair prices and a very helpful Ayurvedic Dr. our son had some stomach problems and they where really helpful and even gave us some Ayurvedic medicine, THANK YOU!!!!     Excellent Location !! No disturbances on the beach at all !! Very seldom you find something like this for yourself only. Very peaceful and great place to stay !! The Sunny weather and sandy beach was a perfect location for our stay ! We prefer privacy for our stay and which we found at Giman Free Beach Resort. Great staff and free wi fi, great sea food straight from the local fisher folk from the daily catch !! We were told there is traditional Ayurveda treatment at the Resort by our friendly UK guest at the Resort but we did not have time to experience same. We will be back next year !!

    The best spot we've stayed so far in Sri Lanka! for sure a must come back to this Paradise... Quiet and calm days we had, even though fully booked it seems the resort is always "empty" and private just for yourself. Amazing sunrises over the sea, amazing beach, delicious food and friendly staff, always ready to satisfy your needs. The restaurant floor has also a "play room" which is amazing for the children to play while you can enjoy your meals. Art spread all over through the resort. Can't wait to be back again... Thank you Karpaha Sands team!

These hopper staff who stood out are Lojanan and Suthagaran in house keeping. Reynold Sangeethan and Gajandran in Valet service and Lojan in the Restaurant.

The town is exceptionally clean, surrounded by water, and radiates a serene charm. Pasikudah, in particular, took our breath away.     Kalkudah is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka!

    Kalkudah is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka! The water here has an amazing emerald colour and it is very clean, transparent. It is a very long and beautiful sandy beach with a free natural spirit, with hardly anyone around. We enjoyed swimming almost all the day! No tourist attractions but some restaurants like Laya Waves are and Swiss Cafe on the shore are the options. Kalkudah works fine for yoga, meditation, walking along, etc. There are some cows and their manure in some spots, but it is better than plastic garbage. Some days the waves were bigger than Passikuda, but no corals on Kalkudah. Comparing to Passikuda we liked Kalkudah much better. Passikuda is over crowded with a long chain of luxury hotels and is not as beautiful. Anyway if anyone is coming with children Passikuda has shallow waters, as well as some tourists attractions. In any case, on Kalkudah one can dig a hole in the sand for children, where the ocean water will come, while making the natural baths that way.

    I think the main reason to go to Pasikuda is for the beach which is beautiful, with white sand and clear water, and where it is safe to swim. Beyond that there is not much to see - I had the impression the area is quite poor and there are not many restaurants outside the ones in the hotels.
