United KingdomOne of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! The view is absolutely breathtaking and honestly you can’t put a price on seeing wild animals all day, everyday. The lodge oversees a watering hole from the dining area and some of the bedrooms. The watering hole is in close proximity and we saw over 25 wild animals. On top of that the staff are kind, welcoming, and made us feel at home. We would especially like to thank Darcos at reception, Stephen (park range, game drive), and Daniel (restaurant) - they made us feel like family. Our highlights were seeing a cheetah with its kill and a young leopard. We wouldn’t have seen the cheetah but when it was spotted Stephen found us and personally drove us there. We didn’t see a lion this time but it’s just a reason to come back!
Thank you we will surely be back.

GermanyWhen I came here the Bubbles I saw were far beyond the pictures shown on booking.com. Space station has landed came into my mind. This is the most innovativ accommodation i saw so far everywhere in the World. Serah really has dared to do something big combining modern and nature, the view to the stars and the quiet places under the trees. I liked her selection of kitchen ware, the furniture and decoration. All bits and pieces are tastefully selected and fit together well. A designer could not have done it better. Beside that I have spent here 2 wonderful days of hiking and relaxing and I even got to know some typical Kenyan meals. Serah, Jay and Angus thank you for all of that.
P.S. don't worry, it is warm in here during the day but it will cool down fast when the sun is down. Until then enjoy the shade.

Driving to the lodge didn’t encounter many animals due to bush and lava rock. But at Serena we saw hundreds of animals including many small babies come to the large waterhole right in front of us. But previous trips to Voi was great because one can visit Tsavo east and Tsavo west as well as some of the private wildlife sanctuaries from Voi. Unfortunately the lack of rains for the past three seasons...
Unfortunately the lack of rains for the past three seasons have impacted the wildlife, and there were many dead animals. But the upside to this is that those larger animals still in the tourist area of the part were concentrated around water holes. Making them easier to view. Access to the NP is very expensive (USD 100 per person) for a non-Kenyan resident. While this is a tax which helps keep Rangers and other staff in work, it seems elitist and unaffordable for the majority. Some of that money would be well spent on improving the tracks within the park. They are extremely uncomfortable to travel along and, even in a 4x4, quite dangerous. With our vehicle regularly sliding out to the sides. The best advice on seeing wildlife is to be a little adventurous and take some of the less regularly used tracks. We were able to see elephant, Greater and Lesser Kudu, all the big cats except leopard, snake eagles and many other bird species.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Voi Wildlife Lodge has some extremely peaceful spots during the day when the majority of people are out of the hotel. Within hours of arriving I usually can feel my muscles unwind. The views are breathtaking, and the ability to be so close to the animals is fun. The staff is incredible and would probably pass for a four star hotel. There are only two major downfalls. One, is that there is not WiFi available in the rooms. Two, is that it is starting to show its age. If the owners invest some money to update things it will be right back up where it was the first time I visited five years ago.Guest review byBrook
