- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 482 reviewsThe resort is huge, luxurious and offers a great variety of pools, restaurants and activities. The renovated rooms are very nice. The staff were fantastic, always cheery, welcoming, and the Jambo activities team were great fun with the water polo, volleyball and shuffle board games. Bar staff, cleaners, waiting teams will all make it feel like home as they greet you throughout the day. Small requests of ours were always met with help whether it be with food or hair conditioner. As vegans, we had a good choice of foods for each meal. The chefs even did vegan crepes each breakfast when we asked. Soya milk was also readily available, which was nice, and there were even milk and egg free cakes in the afternoons. The resort has a good variety of water sports at very reasonable prices. The spa and massage area is brilliant, so relaxing and well priced for all the treatments. We really enjoyed ours.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom
- From US$450 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 137 reviewsThe Nomad is a really lovely place. The food was very good, the staff at reception very friendly and professional. The whole set up with the swimming pool surrounded by greenery is lovely. Also nice to watch the different monkeys climbing in the trees. The beach is truly stunning, and while before booking I had feared the beach would be too busy, this was not the case. Of course when you go for a walk you are approached by beach sellers, but they accept a no. We had a standalone bungalow, with our own reclining chairs and lots of space around, very pleasant (that probably explains the high price, but for us that privacy and peacefulness was what we had been looking for), beach sellers walk past, but they leave you in peace when you say no. We also appreciated their environmental efforts.Guest review byCorneliaAustria
- From US$391 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 117 reviewsThe staff of the hotel is very kind and helpful, at all times, accomodating to every wish. The room, that we stayed in, was large enough and had everything necessary for a comfortable trip. The room was cleaned daily and the towels changed regularly. The meals served in the restaurant was varied and delicious, everybody can find something to eat according to their tast. The pool area is kept very clean. There are sufficient sunbeds and additional towels for all the guests.Guest review byOliveraSerbia

The staff was incredibly polite, warm, and helpful, making us feel welcome at every step. The property is stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay here. - Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 65 reviewsGreat place. The host organized freshly baked gluten free bread for us which was amazingly delicious. We had a spacious and quiet cottage. We enjoyed the use of the fridge and air conditioning. The electricity bill for 6 nights was very low, reasonable and below 10 dollars. Very kind staff. Clean pool. We rented a kayak nearby and went snorkeling by ourselves with low tide, which was amazing. Thank you!!Guest review byMartineNetherlands

Its a nice place with a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Water in the apartments are however salty, I assume its because of the beach surrounding the area. Food and activities are expensive around this area.Guest review byAyomideNigeria - 10.0
Perfect.
Perfect. I wrote a previous outstanding review but Booking.com only posted my two comments from “suggested improvements”, which were inconsequential but gave a negative impression. The property was lovely, steps from an amazing white sandy beach fringed with coconut palms. I loved lolling on the comfy cushions on the roof terrace in the evenings. Cecilia who looked after us was amazing and a great cook. Her fish curries were to die for. The bed was comfy and the mosquito nets a great asset. The community pool was well maintained with a fabulous on site masseuse, Habiba. Amazing relaxing vacation would highly recommend.Guest review byGeraldineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Diani beach is a great place to chill, relax, swim in warm ocean waters. Diani beach has a vibrant and eclectic nightlife , for those who want it. Getting around by tuk-tuk taxi is cheap and easy, the people are fab, But . . . don't go in May, or early June, it is very very rainy! December to March are best, Jan & Feb dryest by far. Enjoy.Guest review byTimKenya - 10.0

Mostly private resorts however not far from Diani and accessible from Mombasa. The Likoni Ferry (which is the only way from Mombasa Island to the south) can take some time to cross- we took almost three hours when we first arrived.Guest review byJoashIndia - 10.0

Diani is a must see while visiting Kenya.
Diani is a must see while visiting Kenya. Just make sure you pick your dates well. We visited Diani in April which was the start of the raining season but it was hot. The dry season runs from August to December and I can only imagine how hot it can get. Many resorts don't have A/C but portable fans in rooms. It helps but the rooms are still hot. Bring insect repellent sprays as insects and mosquitoes are around. Plenty of activities to do. Wasani day trip is a must do, camel/horse rides along the beach, sunset in Congo river, glassboat rides, jet ski, kite surfing etc. Be ready to negotiate anything you buy as the locals have the tendency to overcharge foreigners. Also there is a small splash place for kids. It is not as big and elaborate as the big theme parks but it helps keep the kids busy and distracted.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Ukunda itself is full of different kind of problems, but if we specifically talk about Diani, situation is different. Seaview access hotels are in general above average except, Flamboyant, Safari Beach and Seabreeze of which have many issues. Pricing 80$ to 500$ US. Then in Galu beach lies horrible trap places like this ghastly Coconut Village with incompetent teenagers left as managers. The second strip hotels are passable with pricing 35$ to 120$, but usually lack service ability and professional staff. The beach is very beautiful, but people around hotels hustling bring the experience down even bad.Guest review byMPENZIFinland
