- From £100.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,841 reviewsI recently had the pleasure of visiting Japan for the very first time, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the incredible hospitality and humbleness I encountered at the hotels I stayed in. From the moment I stepped foot in Japan, I was captivated by the warm welcome and genuine kindness extended by the people, and this sentiment was mirrored by the exceptional service I received at the hotels. I want to specifically call out one of your staff member who despite her shift log out she noticed me looking for me to locate the hotel and escorted me to the hotel reception. That was way too exceptional. Kudos ! Every corner of the rooms and common areas reflected a meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the Japanese commitment to cleanliness and orderliness. I found this aspect of my stay particularly refreshing and it further enhanced my overall experience. The staff's friendly attitude truly made me feel at home during my stay. Each encounter with the hotel staff was marked by their genuine warmth and eagerness to assist. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions, answering my inquiries, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their kind demeanour made a lasting impression. Their unwavering commitment to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip. Beyond the exceptional service, it was the humbleness of the hotel staff that truly struck a chord with me. Despite their professionalism and dedication, they remained humble and approachable. There was never a sense of superiority or distance, but rather a genuine desire to connect and provide an authentic experience. Overall, my first visit to Japan was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the humble and hospitable nature of the staffGuest review bySumeetIndia
- From £88.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,015 reviewsThe room was as advertised, and it have facilities like any other travel hotel around the city. However, it was the fact that there is a vinyl player in each room that really made me book this hotel, and I was so glad I did! I love that the vinyl player was in working condition and you are able to rent it at the counter, 2 at a time. I was able to send my luggage to the hotel beforehand and the receptionist bought it up to my room when I had arrived earlier during my check in. Love the vibe of the small hotel and that it is relatively close to the station as well (at the exit with a lift, which is a plus point). You get a scoop of ice cream and free beer (after 5pm) per day of your stay. Would definitely come back again if I am back in Kyoto!Guest review byJoyceSingapore
- From £132.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 4,162 reviewsEverything was perfect – the cleanliness, the staff who were always available, and the convenient luggage delivery service at reasonable prices (even to Osaka or Tokyo). The hotel provides everything you might need, including personal care items such as toothbrushes and face products. It is spotless – they follow a clear cleaning schedule, and a team of 2–4 staff members arrives exactly on time to clean the rooms. Everything was absolutely perfect! The location is also excellent, very close to the train station.Guest review byMayaIsrael
- From £1,650.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 188 reviewsWow. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The rooms were huge, bright and very well stocked. The washer/dryer in the room was a godsend for us as a family with a baby and the bathroom was luxurious with a freestanding bathtub. The staff are very welcoming and downstairs there is a cafe and salad bar all with fresh colourful ingredients. This hotel was 1/3 the price of the more popular family suites chain in Japan but it was every bit as good if not betterGuest review byJalaluddinBahrain

Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.Guest review byAmyCanada - 8.0
The staff was awesome!
The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.Guest review byMarkGermany - 10.0

Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.Guest review byDeepuJapan - 8.0
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean! The only confusion was that the description on Booking.com states that breakfast is available, it doesn’t say that you pay extra for it. I also paid for towels. If I understand correctly the coat is then deducted from the room fee but it really wasn’t clear.Guest review byCatherineCanada - 10.0

We loved walking the Philosophers Path and having lunch in that area. We went to the 400 year old Ozu Washi paper shop which was great. The bamboo walk was interesting and the Golden Pavion was beautiful. Kenninji Temple with its zen garden was so peaceful.Guest review byChrisAustralia - 10.0

Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.Guest review byAshwenPhilippines - 10.0
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas.
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.Guest review byeltopoJapan - 10.0

Getting around the city is easy, whether on foot, by bus, or by metro. Cultural and historical richness is almost everywhere you look. The city is modern, yet its atmosphere remains calm and serene. With countless gardens and parks, it offers peaceful spaces to relax and connect with nature. Summer may not be the most colorful time of the year in Japan, but it comes with a welcome perk: fewer tourists!Guest review byHervéFrance
