- From £125.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 431 reviewsGreat location, directly at the road but quite room. Was greeted at the entrance, directed to a roofed reserved parking 🅿️, perfect. They directly inquired about help for my luggage, superb. Check in a breeze ( didn’t received an invoice though 🤔), all info ℹ️ at hand. Very interesting room, atelier named, huge bed, plenty of storage, good bath /shower unit. Nice towels 😉enough amenities. Complimentary water & a cute little welcome box with assorted pound cakes, yummy 😋 Left shortly and when I came back, same parking 🅿️ the GM came over & we had a great chat, amazing hospitality. Made a reservation for their Spa, best decision.Their staff made sure I am relaxed and enjoyed the session. Rounded it off with their private Onsen offer. Quite night, received again help with my luggage, check out smooth.Guest review byThomasJapan
- From £119.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,338 reviewsThe location is good. It is about an 8-minute walk from Higashimuroran Station. You need to pay attention to prevent slipping on snowy days. The room is clean and tidy, and the service is thoughtful. When the front desk knew that we wanted to see the sunrise, he pointed out the unreasonable part of our itinerary and kindly told us where to go to watch it. Although it was relatively remote, we saw an amazing scenery. onsen is good, breakfast very nice. - Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,073 reviewsWe really enjoyed our stay at the Manseikaku, our room was very nice + spacious but what we loved the most was the lake view from our window all the way To Mt.Yotei and the nightly fireworks. The Hugh buffet breakfast spread was fantastic and the onsen was very nice, we made use of the foot bath in the front garden after walking all day which was relaxing. Staff were very friendly and speak English very well.Guest review byDeanAustralia

Most interesting places like Furano, Daisetsuzan and noboribetsu are not close to Sapporo even with self-drive trips. So don’t base your self in Sapporo as it is far from its own airport anyway. Stay in Sapporo if you want to explore its surrounding areas.Guest review byChangAustralia - 10.0

We did glass blowing at a great place called Il Ponte - made a glass each to take home! Also spent an afternoon Kayaking nearby at Shioya beach with Max at Sunnyside Up -well worth doing with amazing scenery and even a swim at a beach! Also found a great little place for dinner that locals go to called Summi's Grill in a little back alley near the Sun arcade. Met a couple of locals who go there every day!Guest review byPhilipAustralia - 10.0

Chitose being a small city in Hokkaido is convenient with the new airport just within a short travel time to reach. There are a lot food choices and moderate shopping available within nearby distance.Guest review byTANSingapore - 10.0
Very beautiful and quaint little town.
Very beautiful and quaint little town. Loved the hot foot and hand spas for the public. Views of the lake were amazing and the onsen with the cost of our room was worth it. Better to stay since it is much more beautiful than at Rusutsu Resort area and not that far to go snowboarding.Guest review byKenUnited States - 8.0

Definitely book a traditional Japanese room with floor futons. Much more comfy than the modern beds. Garden view is lovely. Onsen is one of the best I’ve experienced. So many options. Incredible staff. Breakfast was delicious!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Lake Utonai is worth a quick stop in any season. I enjoyed meals at Amiga-Amigas and Toncini’s; both nice Italian restaurants. Upopoy Ainu Museum is excellent. Tomakomai is not a major tourist spot but it is a pleasant place to spend a day or two.Guest review byJerry - 10.0

Kutchan is a delightful town that offers the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and local flavor. Nestled near the base of Mount Yōtei, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking year-round — we are admiring snow-covered peaks. A unique highlight is Mishima’s Shibazakura Garden, where vibrant pink moss phlox blooms in spring with Mount Yōtei as a stunning backdrop. We drive around the mountain to get perfect views. As a group of food lovers will enjoy exploring local eateries offering everything from hearty ramen to Kutchan’s famous jaga-imo (potatoes). Don’t miss Tsubara Tsubara for a comforting bowl of soup curry. Kutchan is more than just a ski town—it's a year-round destination full of charm, flavor, and natural beauty. Highly recommended for travelers looking to experience authentic Hokkaido.Guest review byJonieSingapore - 10.0

I find most customers are local people. The environment is quiet. While I drive around the area, I don't see many cars and people. Most shop close around 7 or 8pm. So it is advisable to have dinner before 7pm.Guest review byCHEE BANGSingapore - 10.0

Shiraoi is a tiny town between Tomakomai and Noboribetsu, I think most people come on a day trip to visit the Ainu museum, Upopoy and don't stay. The town is famous for wagyu beef and there are a few restaurants offering this. Close to the hostel is a restaurant that serves jingis khan, grilled lamb, a Hokkaido specialty. There are lots of little cafes, izakayas and even an amazing gelato shop in town. It's an interesting place to spend a night and just enough off the beaten tourist track to not be difficult to get to so it isn't overrun with visitors. After the museum take a walk around Poroto Lake.Guest review byjudyJapan - 8.0
Very good stay as staff members were attentive and caring.
Very good stay as staff members were attentive and caring. They remember client preferences and nothing seemed too much trouble. Rooms were very clean and tidy. We would recommend this ryokan to many. The only drawback was that dinner portions were very small and we are used to ryokans serving an abundant meal in the evening. Breakfast was OK but not outstanding. So, the point of focus is on food. Service was brilliant. Every single staff member we came across did really well, were friendly and very, very polite.Guest review byGraceHong Kong
