The authentic Jamaican influence throughout the property depicting everyday life , culture and influences were appreciated as was the hotel tour conducted by Andre who took the time to explain the background of the hotel and artwork throughout. These local touches were hard to find in other resorts along the coast. The staff were very friendly, polite and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them from ensuring our excursion went ahead after being potentially cancelled due to weather through to specially cooking food for me separate to the buffet as I have many dietary restrictions. The property was very clean and well maintained. Staff could be continuously seen clearing tables and glassware as well as cleaning public areas. The pool and beach staff also made sure out needs were looked after. We appreciated the private beach area for guests only. We were disappointed to have to leave but hope we can return one day.

Everything! The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, the staff was very friendly we felt immediately comfortable, the breakfast was very tasty, the pool with the sunset in the background beautiful. I read through a few reviews/criticisms from other guests in advance. And everything that was criticized was corrected. This shows that the hotel really cares about the guests' opinion.

Most mornings I had continental breakfast which was very nice. The last morning of my stay I had Jamaican breakfast which was exceptional and I wished that I had ordered that throughout my stay. Reason being that I have been in Jamaica for nearly 3 months and have been very disappointed in what was happening to Jamaican food in the hotels and most of the restaurants but glad that Hotel 39 Jamaica chef restored my faith in Jamaican flavours. My room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely sea view.

The hotel pleasantly surprises inside, surpassing its exterior. Our spacious room featured a large TV and was sparkling clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be more convenient, with Doctors Cave Beach and Starbucks just across the road, and everything else within a short walk, including a new beach park. Note that there's no elevator to 3rd-floor rooms, but ground-level rooms are available. Room amenities include a fridge, hairdryer, microwave, and coffee maker, although coffee isn't provided. Great value!
