- From £121.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 34 reviewsIl Delfino is a gem! This little hotel is fabulously situated in Lingua, Salina island. It is quiet with marvellous views, you can watch the sunrise over Lipari island. Nearby are all the things you wish for on your holiday: hiking paths, the former salina with a little lighthouse, beach, bus stop, a winery, a small shop, a bakery and Da Alfredo (as described in Lonely Planet!). The hosts are wonderful, super friendly, helpful and hard-working people. The very best part of your stay is dinner down in the beautiful restaurant. You will be served excellent home-made meals, made from freshest local produce, tasty and delicious, and gorgeous wine. And you will certainly be given small items on the house, like home-made limoncello, cantuccine or a glass of sweet Malvasia. Highly recommended!!Guest review byBirgitGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 100 reviewsThis is the most wonderful hotel you could wish for, when you're staying on Salina! The staff is exceptionally friendly and helps you with everything you need or want. Every day they prepare a nice breakfeast and in the evening a great aperitifo experience. The terrace on which you drink and eat has a wonderful view over the nearby islands and the piazza, which is situated right next to it. When staying here, you can feel the life on Salina and the wonderful people living on the island. The beach is just a minute away from your hotel room, as well as a plethora of great restaurants. After a few days staying here, you will meet familiar faces who greet you with a smile and make your holiday experience a one of a kind. What a wonderful place we definitely will return to.Guest review byNathanSwitzerland
- From £78.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 149 reviewsThe breakfast was solid with lots of variety; the host made very good cappuccinos, and always offered to make a second which I gladly accepted. The host and hostess went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, comfortable, and had all the information necessary to enjoy my experience. They even arranged transportation for me to and from the ferries at no cost to me!Guest review byNicholasUnited States

Charming and laidback- a great place to relax and chill. Enjoyed impromptu wine tasting at Fenech, and appreciated being shown around the island in an Ape calessino ( 3 wheeled motorbike) ecotour - highly recommended!Guest review byMaryAustralia - 10.0

Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to...
Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop, one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 4.0
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo...
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo di Mare where we stayed. It is strictly limited to the sea front part of the village where restaurant and various shops are located. Although we came in the second part of June, the summer vacation season had barely started with most of the restaurant not yet fully ready, offering partial services, like no pizza even if already on the menu. We had to manage our expectations on a case-by-case basis. But altogether we found the offering at the time very basic (range of choices), poorly executed and pricy (meaning high season prices)Guest review byFrancoisPortugal - 10.0
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands.
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands. It is well reputed for Malvasia wine and capers. The scenery is fantastic and the island offers good possibilities for a nice holiday. There are good walking opportunities, a reliable bus service, great cafes and restaurants and some nice shops.Guest review byBirgit SchunkeGermany - 10.0
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month!
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month! It was a quiet, peaceful town, with a small main street with a handful of shops, and maybe three restaurants, and more of a takeout cafe. We had excellent, leisurely meals at two of the restaurants, and really enjoyed the staff at both. We walked down to the beach one day, and loved it, but it was otherwise a lazy few days in a spectacularly beautiful place with very pleasant people. Malfa is a treasure!Guest review byShelbyUnited States - 10.0

It’s simply wonderful - just the right balance of leisure, shops, restaurants, not too overcrowded (early September) so strolling around is very pleasant. Lots of trips and activities, friendly people. This is my second visit and I would highly recommend itGuest review byGailItaly
