FAQs about hotels in Lombardy
Sophisticated and Serene
The diverse region of Lombardy touches the 3 largest Italian lakes: Lake Garda, Lake Maggiore and Lake Como. Their beautiful shores house many Lombardy luxury hotels and even more luxurious celebrity residences.
The rich and famous also flock to Milan, one of the world’s fashion capitals, where designer boutiques are found alongside La Scala opera house and the iconic San Siro football stadium. To the south, Pavia is best known for its elaborate monastery, while Monza to the north-east hosts the F1 Italian Grand Prix and World Superbike Championship.
Nearby Bergamo is the hub for cheap flights to Milan and it also has a historic old town, while to its east is peaceful Lake Iseo. A smaller lake is located by Varese, and artificial lakes also almost entirely surround the important medieval city of Mantua, seat of the Gonzaga court during the Renaissance.
Brescia to the north-west has monuments dating back to Roman times, while Cremona to the south-west has an impressive cross-shaped cathedral and huge belltower. This beautiful city is on the Po, Italy’s longest river which forms part of the Lombardy border.

It was my third time visiting Milan, my husband's first.
It was my third time visiting Milan, my husband's first. We had one objective: Spend the day self-touring with an audio guide through the cathedral, rooftop terraces, and Duomo museum, plus lunch at Rinascente. It took approximately seven hours to meet our goals. There's much more to see in Milan, but we have so many other places to visit that Milan is not at the top of our return-again list.Guest review byMiriam PrellUnited States - 10.0

I was totally impressed by the city. I have not researched the city before going and simply by walking on the streets was positevly surprised by the cozy vibes, nice terraces and bars. It had a good mix of historical sites and more at leisure activities.Guest review byCarmen MonicaRomania - 10.0

For your accommodation look for a location close to the Duomo; from here you can reach all the tourist attractions on foot. Get your ferry tickets online. Enjoy an Aperol spritz or a glass of wine on a terrace in the afternoon.Guest review byOctavianRomania - 10.0
Sirmione is prettier than Lake Como.
Sirmione is prettier than Lake Como. I love both places and feel that Lake Como one could easily stay for a few months, perhaps not with Lake Garda, but the beauty of the place is such that it should not be missed.Guest review byMichelleUnited Kingdom - 6.0

It really was an R&R stop as we were hiking the MTB and moving onto the Dolomites. It wasn’t really our type of place, the little towns up the coast were pleasant, unfortunately as said they were not our scene .. so can’t really comment for others ..Guest review byVanderput - 10.0

Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that we like it and the surrounding north Lake Garda area. Last year it was selected as the most superb flower decorated town in Italy and at the international competition won the top five 'petals' in it's category of small resorts. The winter population is 1200 people but usually busy with visitors from the end of April till mid October. The only criticism this year is that I detected a cigarette end on some steps! Standards are slipping but the Mayor, Il Sindaco, was quite distressed. If in doubt just go and you will not be disappointed.Guest review byDuncanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A must visit city, far better experience than over touristy Verona, for example. Many museums and sites of interest, laid back vibe at night , lots of restaurants with great variety of cuisines, mainly "locals" from suburbs or the old town, chilling in a very pleasant atmosphere, amazing historical buildings and Italian charm. Has all the architecture of "typical" Italy, but without the crowds.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Hotel easy to find although there was some confusion at the airport as to where the free airport shuttle bus left from but perhaps the driver was just having an off day. The room was well equipped and spacious but we had no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful and friendlyGuest review byMargaretUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Bellagio was very pretty but the apartment with wonderful Italy or booking.com should not be used. BEWARE of these companies as we had young kids with us and spent over an hour wandering around not able to find the location. I am sorry but watch the video that does not give detailed info on location is not helpful. Also private parking appartently is only valid if there are spaces open as it was a public parking area and when we were there no spaces to be had. We had to pay for parking on top of the apartment fee and we couldn't even access the apartment as they did not send over the information as promisedGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.Guest review byLu KoUnited Kingdom
