This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The Lake Myvatn area around the hotel was everything we hoped for and more. The trails around the nearby lake offered excellent walking and hiking. The hotel is quite close to other area attractions including the Myvatn baths. The included breakfast was exceptional with more choices than one could hope to work through in a stay of several days. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good and service from hotel and restaurant staff was very good. We enjoyed our stay.

If you follow an instruction of owner about location, then there is no problem to find. First you drive to Grimstunga for key (very easy to find on Google map) and that you continues for 7 km to your room. Room is spacious, bright and with terrasse. Kitchen has well equipment. Location is overall good, very close to ring road and close to Detifoss waterfall (east).

Lovely location with a view across to a volcano. Very comfortable apartment that was perfect for us travelling with adult children. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

The place is amazing, the staff is super nice. The ice cream shop wasn't open, but they did have some ice-cream available, and it's a 100% a must. The facilities are top notch. The bathroom has an excellent size and the water pressure it's very very good. The share kitchen it's well equipped. The beds are so comfortables. I didn't want to get up. The breakfast is very good and had a lot of alternatives.
