The parkrun on the greenway was lovely.
The parkrun on the greenway was lovely. We did a boat trip with seascape safaris - around the nearby islands and saw birds, seals, dolphins etc. Lots of lovely beaches, some historical monuments and several information boards at various locations around the island supplying local history. Surprising good food. We lunched , then the next day caked at , I think it was called An Dun - gorgeous food and amazing views of Sliabh Mór. We had dinner 3 nights, each hotel and Teds. All very good though my personal favourite was Teds. I would happily go back for another visit - beautiful location for walking, running, swimming or generally relaxingGuest review byLauraIreland - 10.0
Keel is a charming beach town with a laid back vibe.
Keel is a charming beach town with a laid back vibe. We lived exploring the island and learning more about the history. The abandoned village and the Neolithic court and passage tombs nearby are totally worth a visit!Guest review byEllenUnited States - 8.0

this was a very quite relaxing place near the sea and plenty of walks around the area. to get to other places in the island we needed to travel by car which was ok by us but for anyone out at night which would be taking a drink it would be very far to walk backGuest review byJoanIreland - 6.0
Good location if driving or cycling. Food good.
Good location if driving or cycling. Food good. Room small for family of 4. Pictures deceiving on website. Staff polite and friendly. Keem beach is a must see, beautiful...even in bad weather! Paddle boarding at the lake was really good fun, lake shallow enough for younger children.Guest review bySineadIreland - 10.0
I loved the area, it was very beautiful and quiet.
I loved the area, it was very beautiful and quiet. It was easy to find the property using Google maps and once there it was easy to get around. It is definitely easy to recommend going there as it’s a very picture postcard holiday 10/10.Guest review bySharonIreland - 10.0

We had absolutely perfect weather topping at 26° With very peaceful & quiet unspoiled beauty .. stunning beaches & Crystal clear blue sea you would not think it was Ireland. Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing.
Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing. There weren't any shops open while we were there over Easter, which was lovely. There might be more open during the summer. If we needed food we headed to Keel. The Beach Hotel in Doogort was open at the weekend and there were plenty of people in the bar but it closed again once Monday came. There are a few places to eat on the island, Mastersons bar being the closest. There is also a great wee place called Pure Magic which did lovely pizzas. The drive to Keel doesn't take long and has a few more bars and restaurants. If you want a quiet break with breathtaking scenery you're going to the right place. A drive to Keem Bay is definitely worth it but try to go early/late to avoid the crowds. We saw a seal coming out of the water and basking sharks not too far out in the sea.Guest review byBronagh BoyleIreland - 10.0
Definitely car needed view's fantastic, quite and peaceful.
Definitely car needed view's fantastic, quite and peaceful. Lunch & dinner at Ted's great food great value very friendly area. Do try the Sauna on the beach 👌👌 and definitely visit Keem beach. Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts.
Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts. Some excellent views, and lovely beaches. You can drive up the mountains for outstanding vistas. But be careful as roads can be quite narrow. Weather was good when we needed it to be, but it was very wet at times. Crew Bay Cruise was very enjoyable and well worth a visit. Food on the Island (i.e.Teds and The Amethyst) was very good and reasonably priced.Guest review byDonalIreland - 10.0
