- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 907 reviewsWe loved the room and the beach. The staff was great, everyone was so nice. The piñas coladas at the Kaktus bar were amazing and the food was also delicious. It was my birthday and they prepared me cupcakes with candles for dinner. The place is amazing and the beach is beautiful, just be sure to take some shoes because there are rocks at the beach. There are a lot of activities to do during the day and the island has beautiful spots. After the check out they let us stay there and use the facilities, which was great. Thank you for an amazing stay we had a lot of fun!!Guest review byAlexandraGermany

Lovely promenade - masses of bars and restaurants, great atmosphere in the evening, particularly. People promenading, very buzzy and busy, great for people watching. Huge choice of places to eat and drink all day. Not much to do in Split itself, but lots of places to visit from there - number 37 bus to Trogir (or better to get the ferry, it's quicker and much more pleasant!), day trip to Plitvice Lakes or Krka Lakes, ferry to Hvar Island (and get the bus to Stari Grad and climb the hill to the cross, then have a beer on the harbour front). Hvar Town has a lovely promenade - and quieter than Split, more chilled. Luxor bar and restaurant was a real find in the evening - live music, people sitting around the courtyard/atrium, really great vibe. Also felt safe enough walking the streets back to my accom at night (though I wasn't very late).Guest review byJacquelineUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Food was generally good to very good, however food and drinks were expensive. Local wine and fish were good. Nice range of food available. Several little supermarkets/ shops. Lovely old, well maintained buildings. Sea was warm and very clean.Guest review byShelleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The old city of Zadar is historically very interesting. It also has a sea organ. Fantastic place to go sailing from as there are lots of beautiful islands to visit including the Kornati National Park.Guest review byUrsulaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Smaller yet compact old city center where you will find everything you need just in few steps. Big grocery store just next to the bus station, big outdoor market place, fish market, promedande, countless number of restaurants, public transport and several beaches. The only downside is that during the peak season it is really crowded.Guest review byEvaSlovakia - 6.0
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September.
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. We only walk and stay overnight in Makarska center. Biokovo skywalk is fantasticGuest review bySlobodankaNorway - 6.0

Hvar centre is over priced and if you do not get recommendations where to eat you could end up paying a lot of money for poor quality meals. The island itself is beautiful and worth exploring on your on own. Jelsa would be a much better based than Hvar old town, where a glass of wine is half the price!Guest review byPhilG75United Kingdom - 10.0

Sibenik ending up being one of the surprise highlights of our trip! The Old Town is quaint and beautiful. It did not feel touristy and yet felt welcoming to tourists. There were plenty of restuarants with a variety of choices. We visited the end of June as the annual International Children's festival was winding up and the town was decorated with streamers with hanging flags of children's drawing--so charming! We loved that it was within a reasonable distance to Split and only 15-20 minutes to Krka National Park.Guest review byJenW13United States - 6.0
Vodice is a very crowded place.
Vodice is a very crowded place. The beach is long but not very wide, so there were many people, and sometimes you couldn’t even find a spot to put your towel. The city center is also not as beautiful as other Croatian cities, such as Poreč, Pula, Omiš, or Zadar. It doesn’t offer much to explore, but there are some nice places to see nearby, such as the islands of Prvić and Murter. We also liked the beach in Rovinj, which has many more facilities. On the beach in Vodice, there is also a nightclub that gets really loud, so it’s not the best option for a holiday with small children.Guest review byNatáliaSlovakia - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland - 10.0

Cavtat is a beautiful place, with many attractions great for walking and relaxing. It is very easy to get around, you can take the water taxi to visit Dubrovnik or local bus. Plenty of restaurants to enjoy the local food along the promenade. The sunsets are wonderful in the evening. It is very safe and the people are very friendly.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom
