I highly recommend to book the room with the jet tube on the balcony, especially off-season. It is very private and relaxing in the jacuzzi is so comfortable! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It felt like a private spa. Off-season price was very affordable for the amount of luxury you get.

Perfect place to stay in Ios. They arranged pick up and drop off to Port (3 eur per person), provided an extensive lists of recommended bars and restaurants (do not miss Salt!), arranged taxis to and from bars and restaurants and were generally always available and ready to help! The accommodation itself is absolutely great value for money and is modern and comfortable with a great pool bar and kitchen! It is a short 5 minute walk to town, a 1 Min walk to the grocery store and 25 Min walk to the beach. Could not recommend higher!

We loved everything about Glaros Hotel. The location is perfect, right next to a beautiful beach, with comfortable sunbeds reserved for hotel guests. The room was very clean and tidy, and towels were changed every day, which was a big plus. Jannis was an exceptional host – very kind and always helpful. We truly recommend this hotel and are sure we will come back here.

Always a pleasure to come back to Avra. The most lovely host Katherina is always so helpful and kind! Rooms are very nice, bright a nicely decorated and their home made breakfast is yummy. 1 minute from the port. Its my 3rd time here and will come back again!

    Location is perfect. Near the port - 2 min walking, owners are really nice and friendly. On our first day we came earlier and they offered us breakfast, coffee and gave us tovels so we could wait by the pool. Everything is really clean and if you need help with anything you can ask on reception (about restaurants, beaches...). They also make really good coktails for normal price. Breakfast is also good - bife. You have eggs, cereals, diferent vegetable, fruit, croissants, butter, jam... I think everyone can find something to eat. And pool is amazing. 10/10

    The staff is on site 24/7 they are super friendly and accommodating especially because we had an issue with our booking at 2am. They clean the rooms everyday and provide fresh sheets and towels too. They also give you beach towels for the pool or beach, and the location of the place is so ideal for visiting the port and the town, either by foot or by bus. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else. Also our friend had an injury and the staff helped us with medical stuff and first aid.

    Location was fantastic - close proximity to everything, just a short walk down steps to get to the main street. The cleaning ladies were lovely - gave us extra towels when needed and always greeted us. There was a balcony, clothes line and mini fridge. Perfect place if you're there for a few nights and don't intend on staying in heaps. The balcony was also beautiful, the sun came into the room each morning and lit everything up. Gorgeous views.

    We had 3 rooms and they were all good with good sized terraces and very quiet. The staff were wonderful, and so helpful and sympathetic when we had a medical issue to deal with. The pool is lovely and so is the beach opposite. We were there 9 September and a few restaurants had already closed for the season but there was still enough choice. There was also a regular bus into nearby Chora which stops just outside the hotel.

    Such an amazing hotel that has exceeded all our expectations. It‘s calm, clean, the rooms are beautiful and super clean. It‘s a family-owned hotel and the owner even picked us up and returned us to the port. The whole hotel area is very relaxing with a stunning view of Chora and very friendly staff and owners.

    We were only here for 2 nights and it didn’t feel like enough. We mostly relaxed by the beach and pool during the day - the loungers on the beach were great and the water is beautiful.     The island is the preferred destination for 1st year...

    The island is the preferred destination for 1st year students, mainly from Ireland, from what we could tell. Not really our croud. It was a bit cheaper here for drinks and food than it was on Santorini or Mykonos, but I probably won't go back. There is not much to do on the island, and the wind was next level. We were supposed to stay here for 2 nights initially, but I am happy that we reduced it to 1 night. We visited a goat cheese farm, which was nice, but after that, we did not want to do anything in the wind, plus, there was not much else to do. The old town was very pretty, with cobble streets and little shops, but not as lively as Mykonos or Santorini at night. It felt like a Sunday. Lovely little island.

    This is an unspoiled island - love that there is no airport of cruise ships coming and flooding this island with tourists. There is just enough of a crowd to keep it lively without being crowded. The beach is well located and the bus service is extremely efficient to get you around. The beach is beautiful and clean.

    Excellent beach but the businesses that run the beach facilities (sunbeds and restaurants) must improve a lot. Despite very friendly personnel, the prices are very high compared to ther poor services and offered food quality.

    We loved the beach location very quite only thing was there was no transport to go into town as only 2 buses all day we left a day early as we wanted to enjoy the town of chora for 1 night the only place open for food was the beach hotel and they closed at 9pm and opened after 10 am for breakfast but the owners was lovely

    There is no supermarket in this area. There is a tavern restaurant and a beach hut where you can buy drinks and snacks on the beach. it is located very far from the main town, the journey is long. The area is secluded, there is a not a lot of other properties around, but there is a few so you don't feel completely alone. The beach is stunning and the mountain views are spectacular. The beach attracts a small amount of people so it's not too busy. The water is very clean and the sand is nice.

    We really liked Ios, a great place to stay. At night it was peaceful and quiet but lively during the day and evening. We went into Chora most nights and that was wonderful, lots of bars and restaurants. Also a great bakery on the main road a must if you visit. Our hotel was Brothers Hotel, a lovely place to stay with very welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean rooms and very helpful. Thank you

    Lots of restaurants, Italian, Greek, Sushi to suit all budgets and a good bakery. Good mini markets. Great helpful staff everywhere you go. Good bike hire place who very helpful, its a must roads are quiet and easy to navigate. Great beach, clean plenty to do. Very clean and safe. Breath taking views you could admire all day. Brilliant cheap bus service to take you to port, or the main town only 2 euros.

    I liked that it is not an over-built, over-commercialized...

    I liked that it is not an over-built, over-commercialized island like its famous neighbour Santorini. We rented a car one day and saw Homer‘s supposed resting place and a Byzantine castle, a wonderful goat farm with tours and great choices of cheeses run by very eloquent and multilingual owners, a large number of bigger and smaller beaches on all sides of Ios and even ran into a goat herd and visited one of several monasteries. Ios town is cute and very walkable with a lively vibe and we witnessed a folklore dance performance by various groups of dancers from other islands, adults and children, on the main square. 3-4 full days might be the right length, but we had 5 and used one for a day trip to Santorini. I prefer Ios despite the other islands‘ amazing promenades and oozing luxury feel.

    Beautiful beach with plenty of sunbeds, bars, restaurants...

    Beautiful beach with plenty of sunbeds, bars, restaurants and mini markets. We can thoroughly recommend Drakos restaurant for lunch. Fresh fish and excellent food. It is at the very end of the beach. The town has a very good and regular bus service too for 2 euros one way.
