FAQs about hotels on Corfu
Homer’s "beautiful and rich land
The 2nd largest Greek island, Corfu is a fantastic beach holiday destination whose diversity caters to all tastes, from great nightlife in party capital Kavos to the quiet, family-orientated beach of Arillas.
The capital Corfu Town (or Kerkyra) has interesting streets and a citadel to explore. Booking.com offers several Corfu hotels near the airport both here and in neighbouring Perama, which overlooks the wonderful isle of Pontikonissi. Gouvia to the north offers fabulous views across the Ionian Sea to mainland Greece. The calm waters at Dassia lap the shingle beach, while livelier Kassiopi has a cute harbour.
Acharavi on the north coast is also good for nightlife, while next door Roda is more relaxed and has a lovely, sandy beach. Aghios Ioannis to the west is home to Aqualand waterpark, and just along the coast is Sidari whose Canal d’Amour beach is spectacularly sheltered by rocky headland. Also beautiful is the curved bay lined with rugged cliffs at Paleokastritsa.
In the south, Messonghi’s shallow waters full of little fish are good for children, and next door Moraitika has a long beach and better nightlife. North, the fishing village Benitses has a good selection of Corfu hotels on the beach, and its peaceful harbour is still the place to see the daily catch being brought to land.

- From £460.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 239 reviewsWonderful hospitality - we were part of a larger group of 11 people, some of whom had quite strict dietary requirements. Staff went out of their way to meet everyone’s demands and did so with a smile on their faces. Theoklis and Chef Yanis were exceptional. Hotel rooms were well equipped and clean - not super modern, but nonetheless well maintained. The location as a beachfront property and views were stunning. Pool is large enough and the gym & recreational facilities were plentiful.Guest review byVivekSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 40 reviewsPretty much everything. Great food, attentive staff (there was even a person on WhatsApp to answer any questions, and she also sent us the schedule of activities every morning!). Beautiful beaches and activities, excellent cocktails, wine tasting, all in all such a relaxing place. The pools were lovely and the staff attending them were super helpful. It's great for families, while still allowing for a few areas where it's just adults. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.Guest review byVladUnited Kingdom

My evaluation is strongly influenced by the period when we visited the island – August. Therefore, I do not recommend visiting the island in August, as it is extremely overcrowded. Also, the steep streets and narrow access alleys become even more difficult to navigate during this time of year, and you will need to fully rely on your driving skills, often pushing your car to its limits. We missed some of the island’s attractions because of these inconveniences. That being said, the island has many beautiful places to see and experience – beaches, breathtaking views, tavernas, welcoming people, and much more. I recommend visiting the island in September, ideally for 5–10 days, and exploring the most popular places early in the morning. This way, you will get the best of what the island has to offer.Guest review bySebastianRomania - 8.0

Kavos was great fun with lots of bars and a nice compact strip. Lots of excursion options (I recommend the day trip to Corfu old town) and a beach just next to the strip. Only thing that let it down was it was not very busy at all end of august so a lot of the bars were quite empty and prompted reps to almost harass you into the bars. Lots of great places to eat but absolutely ginormous portions which I found a bit overwhelming at times. Drinks aren’t the nicest but with how cheap they are you can hardly complain.Guest review byPoppyNetherlands - 10.0

It is a very touristy area, not my ideal, but many beaches within a close distance, swimming, beach bars, restaurants, opportunities to rent boats or a tour (Recommended! I booked with Paleotours.) I always found a spot at the beaches, especially early in the day or evening. Everything you need is there and it is stunning.Guest review byTanyaUnited States - 8.0

nice sandy beach with sunbeds and empty space for simple sheets. small waves and warm water. warmer then Paleokastrita, and with bigger waves than Benitses (this one is nicer for snorkeling, but no sand just pebbles) nice taverns and shops.Guest review byMrRomania - 10.0
We have been coming to sidari for 7 years.
We have been coming to sidari for 7 years. There's something for everyone, whether you want quiet restaurants, traditional greek cuisine/tavernas or modern amercian, mexican, indian, chinese dishes. There is entertainment on the main strip every night from quizes, bingo, karoke to tribute acts, live bands, football and rugby matches televised. All family friendly. There's also plenty to do, the beach is lovely, there are pedaloes, quad bikes, paragliding, snorkelling, boat trips etc. The biggest thing that draws us back are the people. They are so friendly and welcoming andGuest review byJonesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Well i had not been to Benitses for over 42 years ,and it was a bit of a shock ! The town looks run down and the beaches are not very good ,too much traffic drives by to get any peace on the beach . The roads are dangerous and busy ,lack of pavements .The old town is better with nice places to eat and drink ,night time is best The restaurant called the Olive was lovely ,the ambiance was relaxing and the food was delicious. There is a good bus service if you want to get about, you can buy bus tickets from some shops .it make it a lot easier. The town just needs a good over hall and money investments ,but that's a government thing !Guest review bykathleenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A little to remote located on the north side of the island. The village had a very quiet feel to it which is fine if you like it that way. The beach is excellent but can be exposed to winds and rolling waves.Guest review byStephen BakerAlbania - 4.0
Ypsos is not very nice in itself.
Ypsos is not very nice in itself. The beach is super small and directly next to a busy road with fast driving cars. Crossing it can be dangerous. I wouldn't recommend it, given the large amount of other beautiful beaches the island has.Guest review byCarloSpain - 8.0

I liked that the bus stop was just a 5 mins walk and it made it easy to travel to other areas. Gouvia however has a nice mix of shops, taverna's and bars. Just enough for my 6 night stay. I definitely recommend Aries restaurant and Kaktus beach bar.Guest review byVeronicaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dassia is probably the best place to travel all around Corfu: old town, beaches, historical places. There is locally a small sand beach, few tavernas, enough to find reasons to spent time also there... My advice?... Enjoy Greek hospitality, food and sea!Guest review bySorin AdrianRomania
