Kumasi is a great place to experience the History and culture of the Asante people. I learned about Kente weaving, Coco farming, and the Adinkra symbols, as well as the history of the Asante kingdom and the kings' stories. I also experienced the Akwasedie festival, which showcases the kingdom's glory and the thriving culture and heritage. If you have a chance I would highly recommend this festival which is celebrated on the last day of the Asante month (every six weeks)Guest review byWengelEthiopia - 10.0

I drove myself from Accra to Kumasi, the hotel location was just perfect because I didn't know the area very well, but one thing I loved more was the privacy. Security was extremely good and I always woke up to a clean valeted car. Staff were always willing to help no matter what time it was. I was fortunate friends living nearby so they told us about the nice places to go to. Everything was nearby. Big supermarket, lots of very affordable restaurants, excellent golf club, plenty of bars.
