It's a great place. I definitely can recommend staying here. It's a nice, modern, and very comfortable hotel. There is plenty of sightseeing around, as well as great restaurants and wine bars. The hotel is situated in the very heart of the city, so I asked the staff for a quiet room in advance and I like the room they arranged for me. The view was of the nice church and the backyard with greenery. And it was so quiet as I can imagine. Of course, the bed, pillows, shower, and cosmetics were high quality too. So every night I totally recharged for new adventures. The breakfasts went in a nice restaurant and were tasty and variable enough to give a good start to the day. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Just one example. The day I was leaving, the whole city center was unexpectedly closed to cars. So I was going to carry my big and heavy suitcase for about 800 m in extremely hot weather and unbearably difficult old pavements where the suitcase is impossible to roll on. When I came out of the hotel, the guy from the security department offered me his help with it. And he really rescued me.

We stayed at this hotel twice while in Tbilisi. The second time we cancelled another reservation so that we could stay at Strofi once more before we flew out. On both occasions we had very late check ins and the staff were accommodating and communicated with us before our arrival. The room was great and everything was clean. Breakfast was also really good and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were also friendly especially Mariami at reception who also helped us book a transfer to Kazbegi. Highly recommend.

    10/10 - The Golden Palace Truly Lives Up to Its Name! Where do I even begin? Staying at The Golden Palace was like stepping into a world of luxury and opulence beyond traditional hotels. From the moment I arrived, the impeccable service and attention to detail blew me away. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is elite. The room itself was stunning, but the bathroom... WOW. It was bigger than most standard living rooms I’ve seen! The luxurious jacuzzi was the highlight, paired with top-tier toiletries and super comfy king size bed gave me the best sleep that I needed. Every detail, from the lighting to the marble finishes to the artwork, you have to see it. I have not seen my wife take soo many pictures in any other place than the Golden Palace. They had heated swimming pool and a grandeur reception and lounge area !! And the cherry on top? Their halal Persian restaurant!! a large variety of breakfast, from fruits to cereals to hot menu, cold menu and a la carte eggs dishes. If you are travelling with your family and are very particular about safety, service, cleanliness and facilities, take my word for it, you can't do better than the Golden Palace. Special thanks to Miss Marriam and Mr. Zao for personalizing our family's stay in the hotel. You have truly made this last night stay in Tbilisi a memorable one before I travel out of this beautiful country!! We will visit again soon. I consider this my second home in Tbilisi!! The Golden Palace is more than a hotel—it’s an experience . Truly a 10-star gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    In some cities with a strong tourism-based economy, the urban system, social activities, and people are all adapted to visitors. What I encountered in Tbilisi, however, was a city where people made little effort to interact with non-locals. They would easily withdraw when facing tourists, and even activities like selling goods or earning income from tourism did not seem appealing to them. The city itself had old walls covered in graffiti. The locals appeared indifferent to their own history and culture. For instance, during a demonstration in front of the parliament, the stone walls of the building had been spray-painted, even though the police had completely secured the streets, and children were playing football right in the middle of the road. It was a strange and interesting experience. Especially the way down to the city’s metro, which descended two minutes deep underground—it was thrilling every time I used it.

    Property is near by the airport, but road is rough. And never ever get into a taxi without agreement on the fare. Checked in at 0200am without any hassle. Owner was good. No selection on breakfast menu. Comfy bed, clean towels, room heater was there.

    The hotel: the staff, you can feel that they care for your comfortable vacation. they are so welcoming, especially the lady with short haircut whose name I cant remember, let us know every detail about the hotel when we called for information, then when we arrived, she met us with a warm welcome and said they could upgrade us so we could stay on the upper floor, bigger hotel room, not a budget one that we have booked. Other members of the staff were also very helpful, with smile on their faces everywhere: in the gaming zone, in the reception, the building itself: facilities:indoor swimming pool with outdoor terrace with a beautiful garden and comfy outdoor furniture. Pool is crystal clean, water temperature is warm enough to enjoy swimming even from the first seconds. What is also very important: nobody interrupts you while enjoying your vacation: no loud sounds, you have all the privacy, so you can relax. You have so many things to do here! Even if the weather is bad, you can enjoy your stay: Gaming space: Billiards, bowling, air hockey, table tennis, virtual games, cinema, indoor swimming pool with window on a part of its ceiling, terrace with beautiful garden and nice, not very loud music. Beautiful nature near the hotel: central park is on walking distance (although not very comfortable walk as it is on the central road), but when you come to the park, you can enjoy the forrest-like quiet park with big trees🌲🌲, children can enjoy climbing and other facilities, football stadium. Thank you for everything. We will definitely come back when we want to relax near Tbilisi.

    The city is nice and the nature but people are so rude and racist. They charged everything overpriced. They know you are a tourist and the prices increase immediately. We use bolt for transportation. Don’t use local taxis as the price at bolt was 5 lari , local taxis asked 30 lari for the same distance.

    It was a rather secluded location and other that sidewalk eateries (Shwarma etc.) that were a 5-10 minute walk away, there were no restaurants nearby for meals. We were told that the nearest restaurant was about 5 km.

    I booked 3 days in April for hiking and it was great. There are 5+ trails available: - Azeula fortress (8km round trip), - Ghoubani (11.2 km round trip), - Udzo - Turtle Lake - Tbilisi (12 km one way), - Azureti (~10 km one way), - Kiketi (11 km one way). Routes are very clearly indicated. During April there are no restaurants/cafes either in hotel or Kojori at al. But there are several supermarkets to buy food. Locals said there is a kebab place during high season.
