- From US$167.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 3,374 reviewsEverything was amazing. The location is breathtaking, the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, thank you Ellie-Jay for your support with changing our room as we wanted a creek view room. The breakfast was more than sufficient and very tasty and fresh. The dinner was delicious, with plenty of choices on the menu and excellent quality of food and services provided. The Spa was clean and suits all the needs. The pool was clean as well as the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Spacious room and bathroom, very well-lit and clean. We will definitely come back again.Guest review byGabrielaRomania
- From US$246.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,472 reviewsI loved that Josh from reception is very customer service oriented and every time that we returned to this hotel he did his best to help us with reservations, with bookings for the car. Whatever we would have asked him he did his best to come with a suggestion or an answer in the shortest time. Me and my colleagues felt so relieved when we saw that he was on duty because it made all the time our check in so fast and for us really means a lot as we are not having always a long rest in between duties. Congratulations Josh.Guest review byElenaUnited Arab Emirates
- From US$351.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 630 reviewsStunning property and location with beautiful grounds. Our room was spotlessly clean with a view of the swimming pool. The staff were just exceptional, friendly knowledgeable about the history of the building. Their attention to detail when it came to allergies was amazing. The chef checked and double checked to make sure what he made for me would be ok. I can’t thank all the staff enough for their attention.Guest review bySharonFrance

Winchester’s history, the Cathedral has to be right up there, it was incredible and would definitely go back, there were some beautiful walks nearby, along the river Itchen, and very clean. It’s very easy getting around, the train station is minutes away( 7 minutes to the airport 😉) So many pkaces to eat, The Vine did an amazing veggie breakfast and loved the Royal Oak pub, oldest in England.Guest review bySoniaJersey - 8.0

Fir tree lodge room 8 not fit for purpose.
Fir tree lodge room 8 not fit for purpose. Noise heard from neighbouring rooms and bed stuck against wall! Whole hotel is very dated and a bit too business/conference based rather than comfy/cosy country hotel which it should be. Staff very friendly though and breakfast was enjoyable.Guest review byKevinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Nick and Alison were really helpful.
Nick and Alison were really helpful. There were clear details on possible places to visit or eat. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. Breakfasts served on time, with lots of choice and was of good quality (sausages lovely!). Parking convenient. We were in the ‘Sheep’ room. There were other rooms eg Horse and Pig. Everything was well thought out to accommodate guest comfort.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Saturday market is worth a visit and there are lots of places to stop for coffee, breakfast and lunch. Walk down the cobbled street to the harbour and enjoy watching the boats. There are also quite a few independent shops. Just along the coast there is a nice walk along Hurst Spit to the fort or you can get the ferry. Lots of walks around nearby Brockenhurst too.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved my stay at the Alton House Hotel, as I have never been to Alton before the staff were polite friendly and extremely helpful, I also made two new friends whilst I was there which is truly fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to any one that asked as in my eye's there is no better place or people.Guest review byRobb - 8.0

The town is very quiet and even on a Saturday seems to be dying on it's feet but there are numerous pubs and several reasonably priced restaurants (we were very happy with Frango's and The Golden Dragon. The Andover Tap is worth a call for real ale drinkers. on the positive side, there were no gangs roaming the streets and we felt very safe, Also, their British Legion(open to visitors) has music on a Saturday night and has been very well refurbished. The staff , members we met and the Secretary Sarah were very welcoming. We'd say that Andover is better used as a good base for travelling round the area.Guest review byGregUnited Kingdom - 6.0

local Gulshan Indian to be given a wide berth overpriced and didn't understand English too well. The local pub the Oatsheaf served Doom bar and had a lovely back garden well shaded but still sunny with helpful staff ,though no sandwiches or small meals on offer at weekends crisps only or a very large garlic pizzetta!!, Town appears to have its usual smattering of local shops and amenities.Guest review byJulianUnited Kingdom
