- From US$101.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,388 reviewsWe have been here before and were positively impressed by the quality of this accommodation. The historical building is fully refurbished to the best contemporary standards with a lot of style. The owners also run a fantastic Italian restaurant that serves exquisite food and has been in the national press for its quality. Frankly, we had not been expecting such top quality of accommodation, food and comfort in such a small place, so when we knew we would be traveling in the area again, I deliberately looked for Noble Lands and they were just as great as the first time round.Guest review byElenaRobertMexico
- From US$159.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 298 reviewsThe staff were super friendly. My room was in the courtyard. It had a lovely sitting room with a bathroom at the rear (lovely big walk in power shower), and my bed was on the mezzanine. There was a velux window above the bed. I left the blind up and fell asleep looking at the stars. The staff went out of their way and did an early breakfast for me. There was plenty to choose from. It was really tasty and set me up nicely for the day ahead. I stayed two nights. Looking forward to coming back up. Will definitely stay here again. It exceeded all my expectations.Guest review byTroyUnited Kingdom
- From US$259.44 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 818 reviewsUnexpected gem. On entering the property you think you have booked a pub room only to be blown away when entering your room. Sheer beauty! The details are phenomenal...local chocolates and delights scattered around the room, stunning details of lights to bespoke tiles in the bathrooms. One of my most delightful hotel room experiences. Also worth mentioning is the beautiful gardens, friendly and helpful staff and the made to order breakfast in the morningGuest review bykateAustralia
- From US$196.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 514 reviewsHighly recommend staying at Twice Brewed Inn. Beds are comfortable- the people that work here are very welcoming and accommodating. The food and breakfast is delicious. Excellent location by the wall - stay an extra night and see Vindolanda. Everything is easy access the AD122 bus stops right beside the Inn. Enjoy the feel of country - sheep are in the field beside the inn and it’s very quite.Guest review bysharonCanada

Wooler is the perfect base to explore so much of wonderful Northumberland. The Cheviot hills are on your doorstep, literally walking distance and it is very easy to get to the coast, Lindesfarne and many other places just 30 minutes drive away. A small market town with a high street packed with great shops, pubs, takeaways and cafes; we recommend the Terrace cafe for excellent all day breakfasts and great coffee . The town is particularly good for those who like browsing antique and bric a brac shops, there was even an Auction when we were there.Guest review byHeskiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Bellingham is only a small village but it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There's a couple of nice gift shops, some lovely little cafes, a butchers, coop, a couple of pubs and lots of nice local walks. It's also located near to other local attractions like Kielder Forest and the observatory.Guest review byLindsayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Typical country village but with the catering facilities you tend to expect from a small town. Italian restaurant La Mensa is superb. Warning though, the hotels are not modern. Two National Trust properties to be recommended, Cragside is 5 minutes drive and Wallington is one of the NT's best kept secrets, an absolute gem. An ideal central spot for visiting all of Northumberland. A short drive from two spectacular beauty spots: the Northumbrian coast to the east and the National Park and Cheviots to the west. Two of the best castles in the country: Alnwick and Bamburgh both within 30 minutes drive, plus Scotland 40 minutes to the north and Newcastle 40 minutes to the south.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Bardon Mill village has a decent pub, the Bowes Hotel, which serves reasonable food at a fairly cheap price. The Twice Brewed Inn serves gastropub food of a very high quality, and the prices are good for the quality. A car is essential to reach these places. They are walkable, but the routes do not favour travel on foot, especially in the evening. There is a Sainsbury supermarket within travelling distance by car, SatNav is essential, but be prepared for several detours before reaching your destination!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Wark is a small village, people are very friendly, it has a pub, a shop, a coffee shop and a hotel, it is quite rural with plenty of walking opportunities. We travelled by car to Alnwick and visited the castle and the historic town then down the coast road to Amble a lovely seaside town.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful scenery and so quiet - perfection.
Beautiful scenery and so quiet - perfection. We ate in the hotel and had an excellent meal in the evening. The breakfast menu had a good variety to choose from - the full Scottish breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. We were visiting relatives so didn’t have time to walk but given more time would explore the hills around. We ventured into nearby Kelso which was a lovely town with a lot to offerGuest review byFiona - 8.0
