A very high standard hotel, definitely worthy of a 10. The service and approach to guests is very professional, and very warm and welcoming. Variety of breakfasts and dinners, very tasty, in a variety of hotel restaurants The place is located in the heart of the forest, which gives a very special feeling of connection to nature, peace and quiet, a very comfortable and well-organized pool on the hotel grounds, the surrounding gardens are very well-kept and allow for enjoyable walking tours. A very special experience of staying in a castle from the last century that is maintained and managed to perfection, We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights in total

What a great hotel/cottages! The staff were great, smiley and helpful. Four of us stayed in a cottage. Tea, coffee biscuits etc etc included. Three bedrooms all very comfy. My room was by road so a little noisy but just put in my earplugs. Very close to main street with loads of pubs and all walks near by. Would definitely stay again.

We cannot recommend Lyndhurst House enough!

We cannot recommend Lyndhurst House enough! It is such a beautiful house with charming and unique rooms. It felt very homely, and our hosts, Alison and Nick, were incredibly kind and helpful, recommending great places to eat and even suggesting a route for one of our days. The breakfast was delicious and very filling - definitely worth it! We enjoyed freshly cooked dishes, as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt, and the usual coffee and tea. We stayed on the upper floor and had the best night’s sleep, as it was very quiet there. Everything was spotless. A wonderful stay and a real gem - we will definitely be back!

The Lodge was beautifully appointed, spacious & decorated very tastefully. Extra large deck overlooking a wildlife lake with Duck & Swan food provided. Great communication from the lodge hosts & reasonably priced for such a lovely place to stay. Will definitely re-book when we return to England.

It was a really wunderfull place from which we could visit all the spots at the amazing National Park New Forest. Hostess Linda was very kind, helpfull and she even took care of some breakfast for us. Next to the beautiful site it is very comfortable and complete. We certainly come back here! We were disappointed that the pier ferry wasn't working but the pier and the train were very interesting - lots of plaques on the pier with interesting information and lots of inscriptions on the planks on the pier. The town was very nice - a surprising number of different shops in such a small area. The town centre and pier within very easy walking distance from the Boathouse hotel. Good meals served there with a good selection at reasonable prices.

Lovely little town with great antique shops, quirky cafes and great pubs. Worth a visit as very central to the New Forest. Traffic goes directly through so a nightmare crossing roads etc. Seemed quite dangerous as always busy. Also traffic noise. Didn't put us off though!!
