FAQs about hotels on Jersey
Beaches Worthy of the Mediterranean
In the English Channel, just off the Normandy coast, Jersey has wonderful beaches that wouldn’t look out of place in the Mediterranean. The largest Channel Island, it is a UK dependency, but has a distinctly Gallic feel and a dialect closer to French than English.
Home to the largest concentration of Jersey hotels, St Helier - the capital - is centred on a harbour protected by 16th-century Elizabeth Castle, an offshore fort beautifully lit at night. Gorey also has fantastic Mont Orgueil castle, which dominates the multi-coloured façades and fishing boats below.
Trinity in the north has one of the Jersey hotels on the beach and a wildlife park. Speaking of animals, in fields nearby and all over the island are fine examples of the brown Jersey cow that originated here.
Grève de Lecq has a beautiful curved beach, while the longest beach runs along the west coast from the St Ouen to St Brelade regions. In between is St Peter, site of Jersey Airport, while the war tunnels in neighbouring St Lawrence are now a museum and one of the most popular Jersey attractions.
Whichever choice you make from the range of apartments, guest houses and hotels in Jersey on Booking.com, it’s comforting to know that you are staying on a Fairtrade Island.

St Helier is very changed over the last few decades with the presence of the many finance buildings but some of its old stores and markets are still there and pubs and restaurants have survived which is lovely to see. The newer bars and restaurants with the addition of outside seating and dining areas are all in good taste and St Helier is still a wonderful place to visitGuest review byALYSONUnited States - 10.0

The area of St Clements is lovely, great sandy beaches with free parking and clean public conveniences, and a few lovely pubs to eat at. Small supermarkets (Morrisons and Co-op) are also around and are open late. Easy access to the rest of the island without going through St Helier, if driving, and frequent buses to St Helier or Grouville.Guest review byVannnieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

My visit was short as I was there whilst attending a famiy funeral. I appreciated Gorey's picturesque setting, and the proximity of the bus stop to my hotel , which made getting around straightforward. I don't have any photos to share.Guest review byMargaret - 8.0

Jersey is not very big, but all the parishes have something to offer. St Saviour is on the East side of the island and close to St Helier town centre. Several good hotels and eating places. There is a Howard Davis Park, the War Tunnels, St Saviours Church, and the Hotel de Normandie has an Ayurvedic Spa, has several schools/colleges, and its famous people like Lillie Langtry (1853–1929), British-American socialite, actress and producer from St Saviour.Guest review byMulholland - 10.0
What an absolute hidden gem of a place!
What an absolute hidden gem of a place! Plenty of quality walks from that location. It is quite quiet though so if you want somewhere 'vibrant' then you would be better off in St Helier but if you want quality and a quieter stay then this is the place for you.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
There is a huge and lovely beach here.
There is a huge and lovely beach here. The area is good for swimming/surfing and it is not too busy. There are lifeguards on a southern section of the beach. We spent a week on Jersey but we could easily have enjoyed a couple of weeks as, beyond the beach itself, there is miles of easily accessible coastline to walk and explore.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Great place to stay, picturesque, quaint, very 'chocolate box'. Fab if you like that sort of thing, I guess. It is a little off the beaten track but again, that's probably a plus. Not much choice for eating and what is there, apart from the 'Hungry Man' cafe, is not cheap. Could do with a general stores perhaps?Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0
