Manchester is an amazing city - for business or pleasure.
Manchester is an amazing city - for business or pleasure. There is a vast selection of restaurants and the shops are fabulous - although not many independent boutiques, all high-street chains. Not a great city for cars, recommend travelling in by train or taxi. Most of the city centre is pedestrianised, which is much safer when walking around. If you're looking for finer dining, head to Spinningfields, or Grand Pacific (stunning restaurant!). If you're on a hen/stag doo, head for Deansgate or Canal Street. If you're partial to Chinese food, head to China Town - there are some amazing restaurants there! If you're looking for an indy/student vibe, head to the Northern Quarter. Manchester has something for everyone!Guest review byDizzyDarlingUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Perfect place to stay when on an early flight.
Perfect place to stay when on an early flight. Warm welcome and really helpful staff. Evening meal was lovely and hot. We were up super early and there was already a continental option breakfast waiting to help yourself. Hot and cold drinks and everything was fresh. Thanks for the great start to our holiday.Guest review byalibongo79United Kingdom - 8.0
The Market Hall shops were great to go round.
The Market Hall shops were great to go round. Outside a lot of empty shops which is a sign of the times. We were at an event at the Victoria Hall which is a lovely building. Lots of public transport with buses and taxis every few minutes.Guest review byTonyUnited Kingdom - 2.0

I missed my flight from Heathrow informed them that I am not coming today but will be there tomorrow morning. When we get there receptionist was busy on the phone and she knows we are standing there. She was on mobile not the hotel phone. Then one of the staff was watching also this and she came to the desk and tell her that customers are waiting Rather Appologising or saying hello She just asked what is the guest name Which I tell her she took the payment and gave is keys. When we went in room there was no milk and water which is complementary. Rang at reception no one turns up. Later we left as visiting family friends and came late night. Next day morning I rang and they provide us just milk but no water. They price we paid and the picture and facilities they are showing is completely differentGuest review byshaukatUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Stockport´s location in a ravine with a Victorian viaduct towering overhead makes for a very unusual and intriguing town. Also most interesting are the timber frame houses one finds from Tudor times. Lots of pubs and not generic ones either.Guest review byDominic - 2.0
