The bed was large king size and very comfortable. Just the right amount of blanket weight. It was nice to have another room with the couch and TV instead of lying on the bed. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits supplied. Large bathroom with good shower pressure, shower is over the bath. Nice and quiet in our room, no road noise. Everything very clean and well presented. Good location meaning we could walk all around town to shop and have dinner.

Beautiful pastel buildings and loads of character from standing medieval arched walkway/ wall. Picturesque harbour. Many excellent dining options- we went for house made ravioli with shrimp at il caniletto. Area very walkable. Boat ride to nearby island will have to wait for another time!

Cardigan is set in a beautiful part of Wales.

Cardigan is set in a beautiful part of Wales. There are plenty of beaches and little coastal towns worth visiting, plus it's not too far from towns such as Aberystwyth. The town itself could use a little updating, looking a bit gloomy in parts. It's a shame because there are some really nice shops and restaurants there that offer great food and unique products. Parking on the main street is easy, especially for disabled drivers like myself. There are quite a few blue badge bays, and the town is relatively flat.

My wife and I are huge fans of all of west Wales. Lovely towns and villages, welcoming people and excellent beaches and countryside. Saundersfoot is a lovely seaside town with a great beach, lively harbour and plenty of shops, bars and eating places. It's a great walking area as well with adjacent villages such as Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth within walking distance. Tenby is a larger town with all the amenities and is only a 5 minute drive away. Further places to visit are Narberth, Haverfordwest and Solva, all within reasonable driving times.

I don't travel too far from the property, as I am happy with the local context, but if you like travelling out, then there is lots on locally and further out of Llandovery. Lots of stillness, peace and enjoying the natural world. Due to allergies, cooking facilities in the property make it really easy for eating in. Solo and families can enjoy lots of walks. A scattering of independent shops and pubs to enjoy.
