- From £96.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,446 reviewsThey have comfortable family rooms with a kitchenette ( and with a door between bedrooms, so you can expect some privacy) and excellent SPA complex. Fair price, tasty breakfast and dinner. We come to this hotel not the first time, because it offers really good price with thermal SPA included, and they improve rooms by making some renovations. Very clean. There is a big free of charge parking in a few minutes walking distance, Cauterets town by itself is charming and cozy. There is a supermarket in a few minutes, bistro with pizza and a market with some food made-to-go, so You have plenty of options. The funicular is also very close to the hotel, so there is always a choice of activities. What I really love is their SPA, it is not that big, but very cozy and well equipped. They also have good quality toiletries in their SPA.Guest review byJevgenijsLatvia

Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees.
Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees. We stayed for a week and could have stayed a few more days. Tons of hikes, waterfalls, water activities, and climbing within an hour's drive (but many places are much closer than that). My one piece of advice would be to make dinner reservations ahead of time or order your takeout early because most places fill up really fast and even the pizza places stopped taking orders early in the evening because they filled up so quickly! It's a great place though, and we really enjoyed our time there.Guest review byLeslieFrance - 10.0

I love this village, very well situated between Pic du Midi, Gavarnie, and Pont d'Espagne directions. It has everything you need as a tourist: supermarkets and specialty stores (wine, cheese, etc), restaurants, a small market, a tourist office, parks, and several walking trails around the valley (ask for a map in the tourist office), a spa center... And it has beautiful architecture. Also a center for bike tourism and ski/snowboarding. During summer an animal center is open for families.Guest review byAlinaPortugal - 10.0

This little ski town truly has gorgeous views and is in a very beautiful natural setting. I wish we had been able to stay for more than just one night, but I’m glad we got a chance to go! Getting around is easy on foot. The town has lots of cafés and little shops. It also has a great outdoor gear store and a large shoe shop! When we were there a concert was being played and it was lovely to hear it from the outside of the structure where it was being played. It gave a very nice cozy feel to the experience.Guest review byAnneUnited States - 10.0

Bagneres-de Bigorre is a place of healing and chambre des Pamlmier is the perfect place to stay. With only two rooms it is a quiet retreat in a beautiful setting, yet close walking distance to the town. The hostess Christine goes out of her way to make guests comfortable. Age accommodated my gluten free and lactose free needs. The spa in Bagneres de Bigorre is worth a visit and I recommend bringing an extra towel. The mountains are spectacular and if you’re a cyclist this is a dream spot.Guest review byellymorgan@telus.netCanada - 10.0

Argeles-Gazost is a good size town with a range of restaurants and shops plus a big market on Tuesdays (food & other goods). Away from the old town there are supermarkets and other shops. Our favourite place to eat dinner was Cafe-Hotel Les Fleurs. The local bakeries were all good but Patisserie Vignau Jean had the most impressive choice of cakes and tarts. Another find was the microbrewery "La brasserie du pays des gaves" who offer charcuterie boards alongside a range of beers. We made use of the local busses to access walks near Gavernie (seasonal service) and Cauterets for Lac de Gaube & Pont d'Espagna. On a future visit would love to explore the valley by bike along the greenway.Guest review byHeikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley.
Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley. It's an ideal base for exploring the Béarn area of the Pyrenees, and a centre for many outdoor activities, and has a good selection of eateries. We went there for the petit train d'Artouste and a stage of the tour de France, and discovered a gem, to which we will be returning.Guest review byJeremyUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Eaux-Bonnes is a small village with few amenities especially out of season. This is not a problem as there are other towns/villages close by that have restaurants/supermarkets etc. The location is ideal for visiting the Petite Loco mountain train, The Ossau Valley and other beautiful areas for walking. If driving be aware that there are a lot of cyclist and the roads are very winding.Guest review byRaymondFrance - 10.0

Cauterets is lovely town in the middle of the Pyrenees with amazing views of the mountains. A good base if you like hiking or cycling. It has a market with lots of yummy food, bakeries, restaurants and other shops. There are quite a few hotels and lots of apartments, so a great summer destination.Guest review byjannaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Templar fortified church: amazing, though nothing to do with the Templars. The little castle up the hill. A scramble, but a great view. Closest town to utterly spectacular Cirque du Gavarnie; close enough to gorgeous Pont d'Espagne (drive round to Cauterets for access). Cheerful pizza Ariane. Delicious fish soup and crevettes aioli at Piff.Guest review byElizabethUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is a charming alpine village at the foot of the Pyrenees with its own cable car and ski station but also within reach of at least two other ski stations. It has a good selection of bars and restaurants and must have hosted generations of alpine activity.Guest review byJOHNUnited Kingdom
