The house was absolutely gorgeous. It was newly renovated and very clean. Everything was spot on and had everything you need for a home stay. My family and I were travelling back to UK after a holiday break from French Riviera, and this little gem just outside Macon was a real treat. The owner was very friendly and explained everything in detail for our arrival and our departure process and all went smoothly.

Great room, completely renovated, enough light points, enough charging points, television. There is a desk, hangers to hang your coat and other clothes, nice bed.
Very nice spacious, clean bathroom and nice thick towels.
The room is very well isolated against noice.
I arrived after closing time (after 8 pm) and the access system worked easily and flawlessly. There is a restaurant next to the hotel, so it doesn't feel isolated.
In the morning the staff was very friendly and the breakfast (wich I didn't take) smelled wonderfull.
The hotel is well positioned near the highway, but still far enough not bothered by it

Superb location close to town centre. Characterful building but with good facilities. Staff went out of their way to be helpful eg the receptionist who came to see if we had any car recharging issues and the chambermaid who popped down to reception as we checked out with an item we’d left behind. The breakfast here was the best of the three hotels we used during our drive from the Pyrenees to the Belgian border.

Beautiful, authentic Chateau, no too 'posh' but very real and special. The atmosphere was all around - in the room and the secret private Chapel attached to it, the towers, coridors, outside walls, the courtyard, garden, etc. The host Paul was very nice. Breakfast excellent,
There is a lake nearby where we took a swim, meadows, forests and trails for walks.

We spent 7 weeks in Europe this Autumn. This was the best place we stayed. It's romantic, excentric and relaxed. The food is exceptional, the rooms divine, and the owners are lovely. We have very happy memories of our night at the Chateau. We especially loved Henry who seemed to be very keen on our dog Luna.

The place is perfectly handled by Paul and his team. If you are lucky; Homere, the Basset Hound, will go and welcome you while you are parking your car. I have been in the Château in winter time and now in spring. It is a beautifull place to sleep and rest well, and to have a nice breakfast in the morning sitting at their terrace. It is a quiet place where you can find the peace you need when you have a stressful way of living. You really smell the good French culture and their quality of life. The restaurant follows high standards and you can have a nice dinner, they change the menu monthly so if you visit them from time to time, you will always enjoy something new. They have a good selection of local wines if you fancy too. A nice experience which I will repeat for sure.
