Our room was super nice large and incredibly beautiful. You feel the touch of luxury inside the hotel. The 1 hour free spa per day is amazing. The spa and indoor pool is so nice. Valet parking is helpful. Room service and generally food in the hotel was very tasty.

We loved the accommodation and the service in general. For those who go by car, the system is really simple: leave the car in a parking lot (9 minutes from the Château), and with the ticket you can use the public transport for up to 7 people. We went by bus to the center of Strasbourg, then we went back by bus to the parking lot, and we picked up the car to go to the Château, and we only paid around 4 euros. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, with an extraordinary view of the garden.

FAQs about hotels in Alsace

A Mouthful of History, Architecture and Food

One of the most important regions in the European Union because of its number of international organisations, Alsace is also the smallest region in mainland France. Stretched along the upper Rhine, this is an area of tumultuous history, great architecture and distinctive cuisine.

The Alsace capital, Strasbourg, features one of the most beautiful European cathedrals and a very photogenic Old Town with cobbled streets and half-timbered townhouses. You can find picturesque castles, villages and churches all around this petite region.

But Alsace is not just known for its man-made structures. It also boasts the low, densely forested Vosges Mountains with glacial lakes, great hiking trails and charming waterfalls. Not to mention its vineyards and the famous Alsatian Vineyard Route, stretching from Wissembourg to Thann and incorporating 67 towns and villages.

A visit to the region wouldn’t be complete without trying some of the famous Alsatian cuisine. Said to be the birthplace of sauerkraut, this is one of the best places to try tarte flambée, a delicious creation of onion, bacon and crème fraiche.

Whether you opt for one of the hotels de charme in Alsace, a stylish apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has a great range on offer 24/7!

Every thing! We went for a spa weekend with our french bulldog (which sleeps a lot) and everything was perfect. The room was comfortable with enough space to walk around, the bathroom was very warm. This room was a little outdated but very charming. The spa facilities are definitely high standards, 2 different sauna, a hamman, a pool with jacuzzi space, everything is made to relax. The restaurant was also great, food was qualitative and servings a good size. The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. Special ++ for the delicious easter cake on the door step on the Sunday morning!

    A charming town.

A charming town. You can walk around to all the nice places so you don't need a car unless you plan to go to the countryside or visit Colmar. I'd recommend walking to the Petite France section. The homes along the small waterways are picturesque! Next, I'd visit the wine cellar at the hospital, yes! it's at the hospital. They have the worlds oldest white wine in existence. Made in 1472. The tour is free to enter and 3 euros for the audio tour which was well worth it. The wine is very affordable and all proceeds go to the hospital. Finally, I'd recommend visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral. Not only is it beautiful, if you spend the 8 euros to go to the top, you will get a beautiful view of the city. When you get done, the little train that has the tour of the city stops right there at the cathedral. Its's 8 euros as well and well worth it. Strasbourg was wonderful. Bonne Journee!

Lovely city center, unique atmosphere. Weather was just perfect, had several walks through the center looking at the unique architecture - visited church , Museum (interesyting) We were staying there 2.5 days but also visiting couple of very nice villages just 15-20' distance with car. Negative side: my husband is vegetarian sometimes we had some troubles to find options for him (but finally we managed)

Mulhouse is a crowded city, close to Swiss border. Narrow streets and cars parked on both sides, the place didn't feel safe while traveling with family. we stayed in a crowded neighborhood, where people smoked and drank in the streets. I am French so I was happy to stay in France while visiting Basel. Because of the poor experience we had in the apartment, we moved to another one in Switzerland. We found a very charming village with beautiful architecture and nature around. Switzerland must have been wealthier than this part of France for a long time and it shows.

This is one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in the Alsace wine region. It can be busy during the day at peak season as it is on the Wine Route and gets a lot of day visitors. Staying here means that you get to experience it in the mornings and evenings when it is generally fairly quiet and you can really enjoy the surroundings and the handful of local restaurants and cafes. For us, that was one of the best reasons to stay here. It is also a great location for days out around the region, to Basle in Switzerland (40 minutes by car) and also across the Rhine into Germany (30-40 minutes by car) being fairly central. From the UK, it is easy and fairly quick to get to with Eurostar into Strasbourg or cheap flights to Basle Airport then local transport.

Beautiful village with half-timbered houses in the heart of the wine-growing region of Alsace. Very touristy during the daytime, but the crowds thin out considerably in the evening, leaving the storks in peace with those discerning enough to have booked somewhere to stay in the village itself. Eating out is expensive and the quality is mediocre. Nobody needs to try hard here, because the location is stunning and people will keep coming back even when service is poor. Some spectacular castle ruins are hiking distance from the village. The picturesque city of Colmar is within easy reach. The historic village of Turckheim is worth visiting when the town watchman does his nightly rounds of the walls, wishing all the sleeping inhabitants a "guati Nacht" in the Alsacien language.
