- From £123.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 1,504 reviewsWe loved our stay here! The hotel has a slightly old-fashioned style, but it’s nice and comfortable. The location is amazing — lakes, trails, nature is around, yet only 10–15 minutes by bike to the city center. We travelled with our dog and got a ground-floor room with direct access to the grass, which was very convenient. The hotel even gave our dog a small gift. Breakfast was varied, with gluten-free options, and even decaf coffee (instant, but still nice). The spa is excellent, with direct access from the hotel (note: saunas are separate for men and women). Staff were friendly and helpful:) Some reviews say that the air conditioning doesn’t work well — this is true. There was a fan in the room, and it got a bit stuffy at night in summer. But opening the window solved the problem, and it was very quiet outside.Guest review byAnastasiiaFinland
- From £233.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 490 reviewsA wide selection of breakfast items, beautifully arranged, served in a stately room facing the lake and the garden. The house and the adjacent buildings were furnished in a mix of styles, creating a welcoming feeling: there were 19th century rooms, early 20th century lounges, a library for guest use, and even a full armour of a knight to watch over your breakfast.Guest review byAnneliFinland

Absolutely beautiful, full of friendly people and lovely places to sightsee. So easy to get around. There is much to do, whether you like urban amenities or being in nature. It's all so close. Also, as a female I worry about safety. My (female) friend and I both felt very safe everywhere we went. My stay was too brief, and I look forward to visiting this lovely city again.Guest review byShane - 10.0

Vantaa was a good place to stay out of Helsinki with much reasonable prices. The aviation museum is a must see and spent half a day there. The mall near the hotel was very good and spent a whole day there. We used Vantaa as a break between trips but would spend more time in future.Guest review byCelestineAustralia - 10.0

the Turre bed and breakfast is a great guesthouse. There is a couple flights of stairs but the reception staff carried my suitcase up the stairs. The cathedral, castle are wonderful. I also enjoyed the outdoor folk museum. Very worth the visits.Guest review byTaniaUnited States - 8.0

The Helsinki metro runs through Espoo, and bus services are also very good. Tapiola is the cultural centre of Espoo, e.g. theatre, music. Also EMMA Museum of Modern Art. Sello in Leppävaara and Iso Omena in Matinkylä are great shopping centres.Guest review byReijaHoo_FinlandFinland - 10.0
I visited this town many times and I find nothing new.
I visited this town many times and I find nothing new. The radio-communication museum is excellent. A short distance from this museum there is a little lake. If the weather is hot a bathing/swimming there is the right activity. (and after that, the cakes!) From Patria there is a short walk to the Museum and my favorite mini lake. There is a nice park with "dancing waters". A visit to the harbour is interesting.Guest review bymargaritaArgentina - 8.0

Imatra has lot to offer for visitors who like to spend time in nature and enjoy clean waters of Saimaa. Choose your accomodation from Imatra spa (Ukonniemi) or Holiday Club and Rauha area and you can enjoy lovely sunsets while having evening swim in lake Saimaa.Guest review byMarikaFinland - 10.0

I generally know and like Lappeenranta - it is a nice town to stay in and to both work and enjoy. Located in the beautiful Finnish nature and at the coas of Saimaa lake. Moreover, the place is good as a base for journeys to the nearby attractions as well as e.g. for shopping.Guest review byPavelCzech Republic - 10.0

Kotka is a relatively small town and one can probably walk the entirety of it in about 4 hours. Both the Sapokka Water Garden and Maritime Center Vellamo are absolute wonders and deserve to be visited.Guest review byAlexandru - 6.0
Hameenlinna has some excellent museums, including Hame...
Hameenlinna has some excellent museums, including Hame Castle, The Prison, and Sibelius's birthplace (small but important), but always check their opening times; we wanted to visit the Palanderin Talo (a house-museum that would have given us insights into 19th century Finnish life) but it closed at 1600 hours on a Saturday! Aulanko is a pleasant park a few kilometres north of the city. We had our best meal during this trip to Finland at the Piparkakkutalo restaurant, with its lovely ambience, delicious food and charming staff. Note that much of the city centre consists of boring modern buildings, many of which are unused and grafittied.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom
