FAQs about hotels on Fuerteventura
Ride its Warm Wave
With streches of long, sandy beaches and a great setting for watersports, Fuerteventura has established itself as a year-round beach holiday destination.
Set across the Atlantic from Lobos Island and Lanzarote beyond, Corralejo is one of the most popular Fuerteventura resorts. Its long sand dunes are favoured by families, while offshore the waves are great for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Surfing is also great here and at El Cotillo, a fishing village around the coast.
Although Fuerteventura is the 2nd largest of the Canary Islands, its landscape is largely unspoilt, meaning that you will find most Fuerteventura hotels by the beach. But the inland towns of La Oliva and Betancuria with traditional windmills set amid undulating, volcanic scenery offer pleasant sights away from the beach. The island’s highest point is Mount Jandia, in its own natural park in the south.
At its feet is the long beach connecting Morro Jable and Jandia, while to the north Costa Calma is a relaxed resort that certainly lives up to its name. Just south of El Mattoral Airport are Costa de Antigua and Costa Caleta de Fuste, home to a castle and a good number of 5-star Fuerteventura hotels on Booking.com. On the opposite side of the airport is the capital Puerto del Rosario, starting point for ferries to the other Canaries.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,010 reviewsIn winter ( end of December) was possible to enjoy outdoors activities, during midday the beach and the outdoor heated swimming pools (mainly for children and heated only to 25 degrees) almost all day. Staff for children did a great job and there were everyday plenty of organized activities for children and adults. Highlight for kids was the mini-disco at 20:30 every night (a bit too late in my opinion). There was as well an E-games room which was fabulous if the weather became cloudly or windy. It was not for free though. The food for the all included was very good, really plenty of options and for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve was a special dinner (free of charge) that you could book in advance. We did it and would definitely recommend it. Food was "ok" but service was perfect.Guest review byJoseSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 1,294 reviewsThe Front desk, service mined and very helpful staff. The Swimming pool on the Top of the Resort was great, even the All inclusive Bar service was excellent, The lovely staff in the Restaurant, Give them a Smile, then you have friends for ever, show them friendly Smile, they will always take care of you, we falling in love to this Resort, we upgrade us to a Beautiful Bungalow with Sea views, the Bungalow was very close to the best Swimming pools on the Resort. Named Spalsh Pool. Lot's of Space, even a security bay watch at the pool. I will definitely Go back, Fuerteventura, Rent a car, driving around on this lovely volcano island.Guest review byGlobetrotterNorway
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 107 reviewsIt was in many ways the perfect combination of a hotel and a villa. You had your own private pool and hot tub, and a huge, largely private rooftop space for dining or sunbathing - and your own kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine and dining area - yet with the facilities of a hotel when you wanted them. I would get sick of eating catered food three times a day - so you can simply walk to the local large shop and restock your fridge. We loved it. It was immensely relaxing.Guest review byRoderickUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 739 reviewsVery spacious, clean, well maintained. Food choices were amazing something for everyone. The staff are so friendly, and professional from our check in on reception giving us a full run down of timings and where everything is situated to the staff working in the buffet. Fab 2 day chill out from everyday routine. Will definitely return 👌🏼😀Guest review bySamanthaSpain

Good variety in the town.
Good variety in the town. Quieter 'old' town has nice restaurants and a very popular central walk way. Then there is more lively bars with live music if you wish. Finally, a wonderful beach right next to the main high street.Guest review byDavies - 8.0

Have been maybe 7 times, do love the area, mainly the breeze of the island as it keeps you cool, easy to get a taxi, from the airport as its maybe 15 - 20 minute transfer, 14 euro. Beach party lovely atmosphere and great entertainment. People have always been friendly, I would swerve the market, really not worth the effort or value for money, Entertainment everywhere,Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

During a vacation in Fuerteventura, the Jandia Peninsula and Morro Jable are worth a visit. The beaches are golden and the water turquoise. There are beautiful excursions available, both by sea (catamaran, dolphins) and by land (Cofete). Unfortunately, the strong winds and the downburst from the hills made spending time on the beach unpleasant, especially in the afternoon.Guest review byAngeloItaly - 8.0

Nice city with some outstanding must-to-eat places (e.g. Restaurante Al Fresco, Restaurante Arena or El Bar de Marco). 4 days is enough to enjoy the city + visit the Oasis Park (whole day trip) when travelling with kids. This beach is absolutely stunning—wide, long, and covered in soft, golden sand. It’s ideal for long walks, jogging, or even a refreshing run along the shore. The sand is firm enough in some areas to make running comfortable, while the open space allows for uninterrupted movement. The crystal-clear water and the clean, well-maintained environment make it a pleasure to spend time here. It’s never overcrowded, so you can fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The fact that it has been awarded the Blue Flag for 2024/25 speaks to its quality and cleanliness. Whether you want to relax, take in the views, or stay active, this beach offers the perfect setting. Highly recommended!Guest review byIvkaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Nice, busy, authentically Canarian town. Not a resort.
Nice, busy, authentically Canarian town. Not a resort. There are ( apart from days when cruise ships come in ) few non-Spanish voices to be heard. A real place, which has little of the artificiality of resorts. As such, it would not appeal to everyone. Great shopping and lots of good restaurants. There is a large shopping mall with good shops in it. A bit hilly, however. The front is interesting and enjoyable to walk along. And everyone is friendly!Guest review byry95United Kingdom - 8.0

Ideal place for some warmth and sun and a good place to relax. Close to Caleta de fuste if you want to find a few more things to do such as beach, marina, shops and restuarants. Would probably suit more mature people than younger folk as there is not much to do in the actaul resort other than eat and drink, however Caleta de fuste is only a 5 minute drive away or 25 minute slow walk and that area offers more for families and younger couples/singles.Guest review byAdrianUnited Kingdom - 10.0
El Cotillo is a beautiful village that we have been visiting...
El Cotillo is a beautiful village that we have been visiting for 18 years now. It is not full of karaoke bars and English pubs as we like to experience the local culture. There are many restaurants to try out and all of good quality and reasonable prices. The locals do appreciate if you attempt to speak their language which we always do as I think it is a respectful thing to do. My only concern for this amazing village is the number of new apartments they are now building and whether the charms of the village will be overtaken by large scale tourism.Guest review byALISONUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is a lovely little traditional village.
It is a lovely little traditional village. A lot of the restaurants are closed on Sundays and Mondays which was a bit of a pain but only because there were so many to experience! It is well situated, near beaches but you do need a car.Guest review byHollieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
