Bermeo's main attraction is the harbour area where all the bars & restaurants are located and few steps walk up and you can see everything Bermeo has to offer. The part of Bermeo away from the harbour is mainly residential with tall towers, which we can say is the new extended BermeoGuest review byNeelSharabhUnited Kingdom - 10.0
First of all Lekeitio is a very safe town.
First of all Lekeitio is a very safe town. Walked a lot and always felt safe. It is the best little coastal town with beaches, bakeries, bars, restaurants, parking, grocery and other stores, within walking distance. We stayed at 20 Beheko Kalea and it was a perfect location - the port was about 4 minutes away. Didn't go into the water at the beach, but my grandkids did later this month and they totally loved it. We ate at the bar/restaurants by the port and we also ate at Restaurant Egana. All was great.Guest review byKrakau - 10.0

Using the local transport is easy and we recommend the Bilbao Bizkaia Card - it can be used on all public transport and if you share a card between 2 people or more the additional fares are discounted. Can buy in stations etc. The town is busy but not loud and feels safe. Local people are friendly and helpful with things like the public bike hire.Guest review byTimothyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Visited this quaint beach/surfer town in off-season and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very few foreign tourists. A couple nice tapas bars were open and filled with locals. Charming streets and views of the sea. Frequent, reliable train service available to other towns along the coast and all the way to Bilbao.Guest review bySebastienCanada - 8.0

Bakio is a terrific beach and surfing resort, but we didn't go for either of those. We went because it's close to Gaztelugatxe and there are some very good restaurants nearby. And a txakoli museum! Check it out!Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

There’s a lot to see in Portugalete - plenty of information at the Tourist Office. The nearest beach is just minutes away The hanging bridge (puente Colgante) is an extraordinary piece of engineering and is the most predominant feature here There’s a produce market - fruit/veg/flowers and plants three times a week. There are boat trips too but these only operate at weekends from 15 September We found a great Mexican restaurant in the old townGuest review byAvrilSpain - 8.0

I went to Sopelana to surf and didn't explore the town much.
I went to Sopelana to surf and didn't explore the town much. It didn't seem like there was too much to the town anyways but it seems quaint and nice. It's right on the main metro line making it very easy to access from Bilbao. The beaches are very beautiful with unique rock formations and stunning views. When there are waves it is not really a swimming beach but they are great for surfing. Lots of rental options available. It's definitely a beautiful stop when exploring the Basque coast but could easily be a day trip from Bilbao.Guest review byJordanCanada - 10.0
The area of Bermeo is very nice for the nature and calmness.
The area of Bermeo is very nice for the nature and calmness. Near to it are interesting places to see (Mundaka, Busturia), with car or a little bit more walking San Juan de Gatzelugatze. Enough restaurantes, but not so much cafeterias.Guest review byAnonymousCzech Republic - 6.0

Visited early May on a sunny Tuesday and it was very quiet. Most resteraunts and bars were closed or had very limited choice. Hard to understand. Hopefully it picks up later in the season. Should have continued to San Sabastian!Guest review bySimon GriggsUnited Kingdom
