This place is the one you don't wanna leave, a home away from home. The owner, Silvana is "the queen of her castle", very energetic, helpful and artistic person who has an eye for the details. Her fantastic artworks are everywhere in the house giving it a personal touch. Our room was spacious with a big wardrobe and super comfy bed. The breakfast was very good and it was a pleasure to enjoy it on the terrace or alternatively on the patio. Couple of nights, the breakfast was brought to the room fridge because we had to leave so early next morning. The pool area was so inviting and the pool itself was clean with just a right water temperature to wake you up after taking a nap in a Rocking Sun Lounger. Looking forward to return later in the spring.

Much More Than Just Sun

With warm waters and sun-drenched beaches, the Costa del Sol certainly lives up to its name. From north of Gibraltar to Almuñecar, this part of Andalusia is a top destination for holidaymakers of all budgets.

Puerto Banús attracts the world’s super-rich, and many moor million-pound yachts in its harbour. Glamorous Marbella also has designer shops, an orange tree-lined square, and easy access to Costa del Sol golf courses.

Quieter Estepona has a low-key harbour and several good Costa del Sol hotels for kids, while Fuengirola’s long, sandy beach is overlooked by a Moorish castle and Roman ruins. On its outskirts is Mijas waterpark, named after the hill town offering fantastic views of the Costa’s rugged mountains and pristine beaches.

Another waterpark - Aqualand - is in Torremolinos, a vibrant resort with many Costa del Sol hotels by the beach. Long and sandy, it stretches all the way to lively Benalmádena, from where dolphin watching trips depart. Also here is Tivoli World theme park, and a cable car just opposite goes up Monte Calamorro.

With its impressive Alcazaba castle overlooking Roman ruins, Málaga, the region’s capital, was the birthplace of Picasso, and a museum and his former home can be visited. Nerja to the east boasts a 19th-century aqueduct and the Balcony of Europe promenade above its beach.

    Marbella and surroundings provides you with plenty entertainment options and things to see. Everything from high end places to quiet villages is within reach. Locations with thousands of years of history (Ronda, Malaga, Cordoba, Granada) are also within reach. Great beaches, delicious seafood, friendly people.

    It is a special hotel, but the price is very high.

    It is a special hotel, but the price is very high. I was añoyed after paying almost 1000 euros for three days, and then told I have to pay 10.50 euros per day to park my car! We live in Spain, so it was easy for us to travel to the hotel. Regarding the high prices, we wouldn't visit that particular hotel again.

    Estepona is a beautiful place. All of the white washed old town charm of Marbella, but with a more relaxed vibe. Fabulous restaurants, chilled bars, chiringuitos with fantastic seafood, good shops and close enough for a day trip to Gibraltar, which is definitely worth a look.

Views down over the bay to Fuengirola and Benalmadina. Definitely want to go back as our stay too short as we were just there for a wedding so would like more time to look around and chill out.

    Crowded place.

    Crowded place. Good town for young generation,who like night life. There are many bars,pubs. In the evening everybody walk along the Malekon. Some idiots lounched fireworks. Beach is mix of small stones and black sand. Waves were high most of time. This is not the best beach,that I've seen. Safe place.

    Great little hotel very central in la Cala lovely place to stay not massive rooms but adequate very clean,sheets where nice and beds as well - no car parking so that was tricky in the height of season but a pay Carl park under ground staff where so helpful
