Fisterra is a quaint, small fishing town, with regular daily catches. So near the harbour is does smell of fish but many of the local restaurants have a great reputation for sea food. There are several great places to walk for the day; coastal paths, beaches (Fora, & Arnela) are a good walk (3-6 miles) but really worth it. Stunning scenery.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is a lovely little town with a cosy feel tucked in 2 kms from the cape at the end of the peninsula. It has a magnificent long white sandy beach with pristine waters and a smaller sandy beach near the port. Lots of eateries and cafes, and an all-round feeling of joy and relief among the visitors who have just ended their camino. I have been twice and loved it both times.Guest review byantijeanIreland - 10.0
Our cousin recommended Corcubion.
Our cousin recommended Corcubion. We stayed five weeks & enjoyed every minute of it. We felt like locals. Many many places to eat, always fresh fish & healthy salads. The portions there are way too big for what we eat. People are nice, and friendly. 20 minutes from there is Finesterra, we love that town too. We walked by the water every day, about 4 miles. They have a series of trails at Pindos mountain, we love hiking. We meet people doing the "Camino", every day. People come from all over to do up to 500 miles of walking the camino. We walk to the supermarket in the next town CE, to get our groceries. Food was overall inexpensive. Love their white wine "Albarino". Yesterday we bought some bottles in the estates. It's a small town with lots of things to do outdoor. You can do everything or nothing at all, and be equally happy. We are coming back. My husband is even entertaining the idea of moving there permanently. It's the life style what capture our hearts.Guest review byCeciliaUnited States - 10.0

We had spent two weeks walking the Camiño and wanted to visit Finisterre for the sunset, the day trip timings didn’t work so we hired a car from the station in Santiago, drove 75mins, stayed the night and drove back to the airport the following day. It was the perfect end to our trip.Guest review byDebraUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Beautiful coastal location.
Beautiful coastal location. Though main beach wasnt very clean - litter and dead bird. Different local beaches were fantastic though - like a dream location. The Cape Finisterra lighthouse was a tourist attraction that ruined it. Nice markets. Restaurants were ok, though often wouldn’t let you sit just for a drink. Overpriced. Buses were a nightmare to manage and everyone waiting were confused where to go and which bus to get, with not very helpful drivers, though the bus stop was right in the centre which is great. Sunset boat rides. Everything needed was central. Supermarket, ice cream shops, restaurants, banks, ATMs, cafes, hippy store, market, hotels etc.Guest review byKBdepthsUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I felt compelled to go to the "end of the earth" where the ancients though that the spirits of the dead disappeared from the land and over the horizon, headed for whatever comes next. In Galacian this Camino is called "the Way of the Dead.) I thought I would see the ancient Roman lighthouse but it has long since been replaced by a functional one. The walk from Finisterra, however, is beautiful and the "end of the earth" worth exploring. Pretty town, too.Guest review byMary AnnUnited States - 10.0
For me, Finisterre has special significance.
For me, Finisterre has special significance. I have walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain many times on different routes. Arriving in Santiago and receiving my Compostela is not the end of my Camino. I know my Camino is truly complete when I am sitting on the Mar de Fora beach with a bottle of wine watching the sunset. There are wonderful places to eat. The port and lighthouse are always interesting, but the experience of watching the sunset in Finisterre keeps calling me back.Guest review byPitztopSwitzerland
