FAQs about hotels in Canary Islands
Eternal Spring in a Spainish Playground
Mention Spain’s Canary Islands and the talk automatically centres on the weather. The eternal spring climate makes booking your vacation easy. The year-round sun, endless beaches and remarkable volcanic landscapes are spread across 7 main islands and 13 in total.
Tenerife is the biggest island in the group, which also includes Spain’s tallest mountain at 3,718 metres, the volcanic Pico del Teide. This island also has the most number of hotels and resorts scattered along its 350 km of coastline. Booking.com can help you make the choice easier.
La Palma, nicknamed Pretty Island, is a good example of the dense forests and fertile valleys competing with desolate volcanic landscapes and a lack of natural water resources. Gran Canaria is the most diverse of all the Canary Islands and houses the largest population.
Agriculture, a traditional Canario pastime, has reemerged as an important economic pillar for the islands alongside the modern advancement of tourism. Snorkelling, windsurfing, endurance sports and golf draw sport enthusiasts while tempting wines and cheeses entice the gastronomes.
Tenerife has 2 airports both north and south, and Gran Canaria Airport is the other major entry point for international visitors. Whatever way you get there, it is clear that a trip to the Canaries is a trip to paradise.

loads of cafes and bars in the main bit near the market. The Porchetta in the market is amazing. There was a party on the Sunday in the market with a band and locals dancing. It was very nice to see people enjoying themselvesGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Temperature was just right for me in July not too hot with a cool breeze. Lots to see and do great places to eat, I recommend Brunelli's Steakhouse for the most magnificent views and great food. Also a small Italian Cucci for pasta and pork dishes were excellent. Not many English mostly Spanish out enjoying themselves. A must go to bar is Hawa Rooftop Bar, on the promenade modern hotel the Silken Saaj Maar. Free to go to for non residents after 18:00 just press the buzzer in the vestibule by the glass doors and ask to go to the bar get in the lift and floor 6. I was advised to rent a car and it was definitely the correct decision transfers are expensive and it's just over an hour drive from the airport on great roads.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We really enjoyed our stay in Adeje.
We really enjoyed our stay in Adeje. It’s a great location for anyone looking for adventure and fun. I came with my teenage boys, and we loved: Siam Park Jet ski and other sea adventures Go-karting Beaches and shopping We hired a car to get around — driving was easy and there’s plenty of paid parking near most places. The weather was hot, but that’s exactly what we expected. Food was very good, especially at the beachside restaurants — you can find all types of cuisine. The area is very tourist-friendly. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for families who want both relaxation and exciting activities.Guest review byMuthuUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The area is perfect for all ages
The area is perfect for all ages It is desired by adults for the wonderful view it offers. The long walks with the different terraces that invite you are a dream. The important thing is that the beach is public everywhere and is not private. Accommodations have very good prices. 4-star hotels are around 120 euros per night. For young people there is nightlife with parties on the seashore. Food is for all tastes. - there are higher prices for quality food as well as lower prices. The menu of the day costs 13 euros.Guest review byGabrielaRomania - 8.0
In July the water temperature was around 25 degrees Celsius.
In July the water temperature was around 25 degrees Celsius. The sand was soft with traces of black in it. The best part was that we had no algee in th water like we had in Tenerife for example. That water was really clean and some waves (~1m) were also present from time to time. There was no shade except for some trees. Also, the foot showers worked well. We did not like the over 100 stairs we had to climb :)Guest review bymokmRomania - 8.0

We have been to Puerto Del Carmen many times over 20 years, we love the relaxed Harbour area in particular, the strip is not really our thing. It's about a quiet holiday in the sun for us. There is a good variety of restaurants between the apartment area and the harbour.Guest review byGerryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Good variety in the town.
Good variety in the town. Quieter 'old' town has nice restaurants and a very popular central walk way. Then there is more lively bars with live music if you wish. Finally, a wonderful beach right next to the main high street.Guest review byDavies - 6.0
Lacy’s apartment made Maspalomas very good for us,...
Lacy’s apartment made Maspalomas very good for us, otherwise it’s too busy and fabricated. It’s for mass Turism but attractive places though. The sunset and a good walk in dunes far from the mirador 🤩 The high quality of the massages at Hannam and wellness and again the high standard of Lacy’s apartment and the high standard of their service. .Must go to eat fish at the fishermen’s cooperative in Arguineguín .Visit puerto Mogán And Fataga not too far and easy drive up in the mountainGuest review bymichelFrance - 10.0

Playa Blanca is much more relaxed than Puerto del Carmen...
Playa Blanca is much more relaxed than Puerto del Carmen which has got a lot busier in recent years with particularly the number of large noisy bars showing football matches on TV and playing loud music and more difficult to park your car in. We used to stay there Pre-Covid but we now prefer Playa Blanca simply because it is quieter.Guest review byROBERT
