In 40 years of travelling this team of staff must rate as the most personable, friendly and helpful we have had the pleasure to come across. Yes the hotel is in a great location, excellent standard and lovely views from the terrace but a lot of hotels could say that. What they can’t all offer is the level of happy service that this can. Best hotel we stayed in over 4 weeks of travelling.

What a great place to stay! The owner Josy was lovely, kept communication with us before and during the stay. Breakfast was great every morning and she cleaned our room while we were gone during the day. There is drinking water available too. Josy arranged us a taxi to and from the airport and gave local recommendations. Location is right in town, walking distance to everything. Rooms are cute, clean, spacious with amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

We were so glad we booked this hotel. It was absolutely stunning. We were in the Southern Cross room at the top of the hotel, and it was gorgeous. Views on two sides of the harbour/sea/town, spacious and everything you need. The restaurant next to the water was really lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend splashing out for the best rooms.

Location is perfect. Staff very helpfull, nice, did all the best. Room was clean, with comfortable bed. Pool was with amazing view, all nights with sounds of sea lions. They looked and made for us the best excursion.

    We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Starfish. The rooms were comfortable and clean and it was a quick walk to anywhere you wanted to go. One of the best things was the amazing service by the staff. Carlos greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had the best time. He had so much information and helped us with tours and organizing activities. He was even so kind as to help us organize tours for our return to Santa Cruz. He truly made our stay spectacular!

    Beautiful area with so many things to do. The people are amazing, helpful and kind. It is so easy to get around there are taxis everywhere. It is also easy to walk. There are so many gift shops and also tour information shops to help you. There are many restaurants along the coast and throughout the town.

    Puerto Villamil is a beautiful friendly port!

    Puerto Villamil is a beautiful friendly port! Easy to get around. At all times the surroundings felt safe & clean. Food was very good, lots of variety. Quiet relaxed stay. Best of all the freedom of the animals all around. Highly suggest you travel light and have your sunscreen ready.

    San Cristobal offers so much to do.

    San Cristobal offers so much to do. Some of our favourite places were snorkelling at Kicker Rock, hiking up to Frigatebird Hill, watching the sunset at Playa Mann, snorkelling and Punta Carole and Playa Baquerizo. The interpretation centre is super informative and a really nice play to have a walk around. The whole island is abundant with sea lions which is a fun alternative to people watching. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars along the main strip which vary in terms of price range. It was super easy to get around San Cristobal. Some our favourite spots to eat were: Cri's Burgers, Sea Garden, The Pier, Seafood Casa, El Descanso Marinero.

    It is pricey for the average “traveller” but for a highlands Galápagos experience a stunning location. I had a large log fire that was no trouble to get lit and logs supplied beautiful grounds amazing tour of the stunning lava tunnels in the grounds. Planted a tree for my girls back home, something unique to the hotel

    Nice town with plenty of restaurants, shops and pubs: I liked a bit more Puerto Villamill on Isabella Island which is not as developed as Puerto Ayora. Very good one day excursions: I'd recommend to shop around and buy excursion on site to avoid surcharge from the agencies

    Great place to stay if you are not doing a cruise around the islands. Friendly people, choices of places to eat. Some are quite expensive, but if you check around there are other alternatives. Peaceful and quiet with options of daily trips available. Very yummy bakery!

    Loved how relaxed the pace of life was. A highpoint was the availability of good inexpensive food. For an excellent quality restaurant, el cafetal was great! The beach and ocean views from our hotel were the best. We loved snorkeling at Concha Perla. We enjoyed a couple of tours and were able to see so many beautiful sea animals.

    San Cristóbal is a great island for holidays, many opportunities for snorkeling or diving tours :) We did the 360° Tour, which I can recommend if you´re not sea sick. We saw awesome beaches and many, many amazing animals :)

    Wildlife is within easy walking distance.

    Wildlife is within easy walking distance. No need for a tour to see marine iguanas, sea lions, Sally Lightfoot crabs, and brown pelicans. Blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds fly near the pier. Sharks are always near the pier and sea turtles come by occasionly. The walk out to Las Grietas is pleasant but the water, even though very scenic, is Very cold. Touristy and expensive restaurants are along Charles Darwin Street. Inexpensive restaurants are on Binford Street where a meal with a fruit juice drink is $5 or $6. Good food. Giant lobster tail for $30.
