We enjoyed a short romantic break. The location was perfect for this purpose. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the Harz, surrounded by a wonderful forest. However, it was easy to find the hotel and, as we were travelling by car, we were able to easily get around and visit Stolberg, the Rose Park in Sangerhausen and other interesting places. The hotel grounds are also incredibly beautiful. Although the lower park was closed due to the construction of the new swimming pool, our room nevertheless faced the front of the hotel grounds and we enjoyed the view undisturbed. The breakfast and dinner were super lovely with an excellent selection of food. Perhaps the restaurant should consider displaying the wine bottles when they only serve a glass of wine, instead of bringing a glass already filled with wine to the table from outside. The wellness area with swimming pool is excellent. I had a facial and a massage. And it lived up to the highest expectations. I would definitely do it again if I had a longer stay.

The hotel is in a good location beside the cable car station. The price I paid was incredible value for the quality of the facilities and food…the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The four course dinner was very good quality although the portion size could perhaps have been a little larger after a day of hiking. Cake was also provided in the afternoon which unfortunately I missed out as I was out. I also appreciated the travel pass which saved me a lot of money for my bus journey home as well as a visit to nearby Goslar. I was also very impressed by the staff at mealtimes as well as the man at reception who was very welcoming.

This hotel was excellent - with efficient and friendly staff in a great location for hill walking, mountain biking and other sports. I had half pension and the breakfast and evening meal were top notch. The inside of the building was luxurious and the single room or more correctly double room with single occupancy was a good size and with a mini bar.

A little gem- the inner city and castle untouched by all the wars- it has changed a lot cosmetically since the reunification of Germany - but it's charm has remained. Quite walkable- the only challenging part being the sometimes steep stroll up to the castle. Don't ignore the side streets- there are some wonderful shops hidden away.

Goslar is a surprisingly beautiful town, boasting thousands of well-preserved medieval houses in its charming Old Town. Its meticulously maintained architecture makes it a unique destination in the Harz mountain region of Germany, offering a perfect blend of history and natural beauty. Take a bus to Oker, where you'll discover plenty of beautiful hiking routes waiting to be explored. Town is full of history with medieval houses and a hilltop castle that is very popular for German tourists. English is not common, especially in restaurant or their menus, so sometimes difficult for non-German speakers. Great place to visit Harz Mountains hiking areas and the Titan-RT suspension bridge and Dam and the Wendefurth reservoir for boating. Harz Railway Steam train to the Broken Mountain.
