We loved our stay, everything was perfect. Let me start with easy check-in. The room was super clean, spacious with huge bed. We had a small fridge in the room which was nice. Bathroom was fully equipped with towels, washing products. Breakfast was very nice with many options to choose from. We booked half-board and the dinner was delicious, home made food. There is no grocery store near by but there is a self service fridge in the hotel where you can buy any drinks at reasonable price and pay at the check out. We could make coffee or tea at any time of the day. We really felt like home, and staff working there was also very nice and welcomed us like a family.

Last year we stayed in Janske Lazne and cycled past the "Hotel Vydrovy boudy Pec pod Sněžkou", and we said, next time we come to Pec we have to stay there. And we just stayed there, as a family of four and our dog. What do we love about it ? The location is magnificent, it is on the plateau at the top of the mountain, you feel like you are on top of the world, it is a recently built mountain chalet, and done in a beautiful style, we had the half board and the breakfast and evening meal were absolutely perfect. The hotel is run by the owner who is very friendly and very helpful with local knowledge, where to hike, where to stop for lunch. In the evening you have beautiful sunsets with views which stretch for tens of miles, at night there is a quietness which cannot be matched. We need to explore Pec more, and we will be staying here again next time and using it as our base. What more to say, Hotel Vydrovy boudy Pec pod Sněžkou is a gem, enjoy it.

The host of the hotel is the best one that I've met during my travels around the world! Probably the nicest guy in Czech that you can find! I think it's worth coming back just to speak with him again :) The hotel is very stylish, never seen such an use of different furniture across the whole building before - it's nearly an art exhibition itself! It's also very quiet all around - so if you're looking for a retreat and to keep your head calm - you will not find anything better.

Very expensive and it feels they don't invest in the city. Some of the facilities look very old and unused. Most restaurants are overpriced and the quality is not on a high level. We were satisfied in Lebeda restaurant.

This is a beautiful, quiet, old town with a lot of pubs and restaurants for every taste. It is very pleasant to walk along the embankments of the two rivers that surround the city center. Or you can walk through the parks, which are also many in the city. I highly recommend climbing the White Tower and seeing the whole city from there. There is also an interesting museum there.

Surrounding Areas: During our stay, we explored several beautiful places nearby. Here are some highlights and activities you can enjoy in and around Janske Lazne: - Adrspach Rocks: A stunning natural rock formation, perfect for hiking and photography. - Cerna Hora - Raselinisko: Accessible via the cable car, offering beautiful views and serene walks. - Vrchlabi City Walk: A charming town with picturesque streets and historical sites. - Pec pod Snezkou: Great for hiking and enjoying the mountain scenery. - Safari Park in Dvur Kralove: A fun and educational experience, especially if you love animals. Food: We enjoyed some excellent meals at the FARMA Steak and Fish Restaurant: Delicious FARMA burger and Redfish in a cozy setting. It was a wonderful destination and you have to see that once in Life. The rocks looks exceptionally and the Lake is so clear that can see until the grund. But you have to pay the entrance Tickets by Internet and Credit catd befreien to avoid Looping time. There are online certain time slots for visiting the rocks. Thats why the space between the rocks are narrow in some areas and the would avoid dangerous Situations by the crowd in my opinion. The Park has alot of tracks to go. The Main tracks you can go within a Day. But for a complete sightseeing you nee at least 3 days in my opinion. You have the posibility for using a tourist boat to make a Tour on the river metuje through the rocks. If you have some time lebt aurond the Park there are much touristical hotspots as well you can reach by walking.

A very interesting town with varied architecture. Quite a few restaurants and cafés, but you have to look for them and check opening times. Restaurace u Kostele was our choice for dinners - great food. And for coffee and cake you should definitely visit the café at the monastery - U Tří Růží. Our hotel had limited parking, but even in high season we found a place to park directly in the square at any time of the day - 50 crowns for 24 hours. The monastery and the park are very nice places, and the surroundings are spectacular as is the local architecture. Across the border into Poland there are many really interesting places to visit - Chateau Sarny for example.

A very beautiful place, although quite small, so it is crowded in the season. It is possible to enter with a dog and/or a baby stroller, but I do not recommend it (apart from the main, relatively short trail, there are a lot of stairs and the paths are quite narrow at some points)
