- From US$156.40 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 24 reviewsOscar is a really nice host who also speaks english which makes it easier if you are not that good at Spanish. He can tell you a lot about Colombia, Nuquí and life in general. The location is beautiful, it felt like paradise. One day we saw dolfins just 50m away from the coast. Boats, trips (whale watching!) can be organized directly by the host. The two housekeeping ladies are so friendly and heartwarming - they prepare really nice food for you and even can handle vegetarians and intolerances. All in all Nuquí is the most beautiful place I have been to, there are only few tourists and you really get in touch with nature in a very special way. 10/10 experience!Guest review byTobiasGermany

A magical corner of the Pacific Nuquí is pure paradise.
A magical corner of the Pacific Nuquí is pure paradise. Untouched nature, warm ocean water, and a deep connection to what really matters. Every sunset was breathtaking, and the peace of the place is something truly special. Between jungle hikes, river swims, and the constant sound of the waves, it was a soul-refreshing experience. I’d go back a thousand times!Guest review byAnsel AdamsUnited States - 8.0

The town itself is small enough to check out in two days and nights but there are thongs to do in the surrounding areas. Walking from my hotel through the jungle, especially at night, was a fantastic experience. The scuba diving (mid-December) was very poor. Low visibility. Dive and Green though are a great bunch and were lovely to meet. In the town there is loud music all the time.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The nature is gorgeous but unfortunately the human hand hasn't been the best there. There are not many restaurants you can choose from and at all of them you will always have the choice of the dishes of the day. Surprisingly the fish is never very delicioisly cooked even though is very fresh, the truth catch of the day. It's a very expensive destination since there is almost nothing you can do independenty besides going to the beach and surf. Even though the beach is very beautiful it's also not the best beach expererience for me since the sea is way too hot (over 30 degrees celsius) For whale watching, visit other beaches, and etc you often need to buy an organized tour or ask for a ride from a taxi (tuk tuk or moto). The tours are good but the whale watching is not the best. It's better to do it in bahia solanoGuest review byjoanaNetherlands - 8.0
The town of Mutis in Bahia Solano isn't much, but the area...
The town of Mutis in Bahia Solano isn't much, but the area is impressively beautiful. It's pretty remote feeling here. There seem to be some beach hotels designed for the party crowd: Plays Dubai or Playa Huina come to mind. But that's not really the vibe of this area. It seems more for people coming to dive, hike, snorkel, or whale-watch. Bahia Solano is a bit difficult to reach, and quite difficult to get out of. You should have at least a day's cushion on the end of your trip before any other obligations or connecting flights. We were lucky to make it out, as it was raining heavily and the outbound flight almost couldn't land. Even when it did, it was only able to take about 2/3 of the ticketed passengers due to weight restrictions on the wet, short runway. Plan accordingly and be prepared for a bit of chaos. It's the price of admission.Guest review byGraham - 8.0
This is a bustling small town.
This is a bustling small town. The street food was great and I went to one restaurant where the food was so good. The museum was closed for renovations. Unfortunately there is not much to do. I read other reviews about taking a boat ride on the river, but I passed on that.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Nuquí is fantastic, it's a jewel lost in time.
Nuquí is fantastic, it's a jewel lost in time. The town itself not so much, as it's very small, very lacking as it's so remote and largely forgotten by the federal government. This is not the fault of Nuquí, and is not a reason to not go there, I would definitely go back again. My first visit there was over 20 years ago. I just went again for 3 days, and I would definitely go back again. This is because being largely forgotten by the government (and the world) is both a curse and a blessing. The blessing is that it's still largely virgin and pristine. The jungle forests, the mountains and the ocean are spectacular, the fish and seafood are excellent, and the land gives all that you need – fresh water, coconuts, plantain, fruit etc. But being so remote, means that sometimes it's hard to find the basics, or the electricity will only run for part of the day. But the location is so amazing, you find that you can adapt to the local ways, because that is all there is, and that is ok. In fact, it's nice to change your rhythms and "disconnect" from the world. If there is a raw origin of Macondo that still exists in the world, it is in the Chocó del Pacífico region that surrounds the small town of Nuquí. It is unforgettable.Guest review byAlejandroMSUnited States - 8.0
If you want to go on an adventure, this is the place!
If you want to go on an adventure, this is the place! There's no communication (no wifi or network available). You will find yourself in contact with the nature and the locals, who are excellent people and so warm. This is the perfect opportunity to take your time and breathe fresh air.Guest review byKaterineFrance - 4.0
The area of Nuqui is beautiful. Not nuqui the city itself.
The area of Nuqui is beautiful. Not nuqui the city itself. The beach in Nuqui was very dirty. The people in the city of Nuqui were not very welcoming and disrespectful. The costs of everything from tours to hotels to food was very expensive, especially for the service provided, everyone was not very nice. Would not recommend Nuqui city. Would maybe recommend the outside towns near it.Guest review byViolaArgentina
