A beautiful place. Everything is new in the hotel. Classic mountain atmosphere. The staff is so nice - my partner was not feeling well and they showed care above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone who wants a Swiss mountain experience.

The best hotel ever! Stunning view from my room, excellent facilities, beautiful breakfast, swimming pool, spa and sauna. The reception is super helpful and welcoming. Naiara the front lady is the nicest person, she went above and beyond to accommendate us, as such we extended our stay by another night. I would give 11 stars if I could!

Absolutely amazing specially the staff and management. Patrick was so helpful and attentive with a welcoming attitude and good sense of humour.the hotel itself is clean and in a quiet area yet it is still within close proximity to shops and restaurant. A bus stop is in front of the hotel that goes to the old town of Luzern. I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful staff at Waldhotel, especially those in the restaurant are very attentive to our needs and requests. Excellent food at Verbena restaurant, both in terms of quality, taste and presentation. It started to snow the day we arrived. The Burgenstock turned into a winter wonderland with spectacular views. Great spa. It was a treat to appreciate the snow falling while enjoying the hot outdoor pool:-) Free tickets for the furnicular and boat to Lucerne was a plus.

    The view from my room balcony was breathtaking. The lake and the mountains followed by the moon's reflection on the lake every night isn't something you get to see usually. The hotel is family run. They serve an excellent breakfast followed by a great set menu for lunch that changes daily and dinner. All my meals were excellent.

    A beautiful and happy place with plenty to see and do - provided you are clever enough to carry every possible gadget for charging your phones and are lucky enough to get into the accommodation you book. Buses, trains etc are very convenient, and stores like CO-OP are convenient places to pick up essentials - as long as you are aware of the expenses involved and do all you shopping before 7pm!

    The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. The view from the top of the mountain is even better than from the hotel, amenities include boat trips through the lake, a golf course on top of the mountain and a sky station next to the town.

    Stoos is a very charismatic small village in the Swiss alps. You get their only with the steepest funicular of the world, no cars in the village. During the summer season this village only attracts people for the famous (and very overcrowded by Instagrammers and Tiktokkers) Stoos ridge hike. It is amazing and has great views but you walk in line the whole way unless you are willing to really take the 1st chairlift up there. I am sure there are as nice hikes but less crowded ridge hikes in Switzerland. It was a reminder for us to never take travel tips from social media.

    One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. I truly adore this area and I think it's highly underrated.

    Staff were helpful and friendly. Thai restaurant - great food and service. Italian restaurant was average food, slow service because of under staffing and no fault of staff. Go carting was great fun with helpful staff. Enjoyed heated pool but really over crowded. Beautiful location. Apartment was good for our family. Kids had a great time.

    The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium...

    The closest one where I stayed for work is the Culinarium Alpinum where I require to walk to the office. Also, there is no uber or any local app for cab to be there within the city ride. However, the buses and trains are well connected as the timings alone required to be known well in advance before you travel for the day as the nearest hill for food is Sarnen and nearest station is Stans and from there, you could travel to Lucern or stop trains through hops for Zurich.

    The staff were very friendly. The owners (Gaby and Andy) gave us hints for where to hike in winter and loaned us walking sticks. The view from our room was beautiful looking at the mountains and lake across the valley. We assume summer will be beautiful as well. The restaurant was also excellent with a good selection and service. Breakfast included with the room was also great. Altdorf was a nice little village and people were helpful. We plan to return with our children and their partners.

    Honestly this was one of the prettiest towns I’ve ever visited. The architecture is amazing, the nature is stunning. The clothing shops are so nice. That being said, it’s also one of the most expensive towns I’ve ever been to. All the other places we visited in Switzerland were less expensive. Still, totally worth it. 3- 4 nights is probably enough.
