Great hotel in the scenic Grimsel Pass area. Fabulous location for walking or visiting the Gelmerbahn. Bus stops at the door and it's only 1 hour from Meiringen. The terrace restaurant is nice for during the day or pre-dinner drinks. Food is outstanding especially considering the isolated location. Well done to the kitchen staff and chef.

    The minute I set my foot in this place I felt like home . Cozy intimate small chalet with history ( the walls are telling it !) full of personality Friendly owners, authentic ,warm and easy persons Everything is right there at your hand perfect confort the Swiss pragmatic touch is there Nature around is glorious . Enjoy the silence in the terrace with view to the majestic mountains . Total zen Guests are discreet and not at all noisy ( there were some playing billiard in the evening but not talking loudly at all) An oasis of peace in a place that feels like home ! I will be back with my family Thank you for this wonderful experience and continue keep alive this lovely chalet no matter what Kid regards ,Oana

    Beautiful hotel – very clean and comfortable. Spacious room with a large bathroom. Fantastic breakfast, delicious food. Lovely garden behind the hotel to relax with a drink. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Nice surprise in the room with complimentary wine, fruit, snacks and beers.

    On arrive on reception we was informed hotel was accidentally overbooked. Almost whole day on motorbike in rain this was not what you want to hear... BUT staff did excuse to us and as replacement we did get honeymoon apartment , becuase it was their fault. WOW this is how to be done.

    Good touristic opportunities in walking distance, like the waterfall, Aare gorge, cable car to go to a village with very nice view of the mountains and a place to drink a coffee, even on Sunday. In town you can have a coffee only in restaurants on Sunday, or in a kind of bar which did not give me a good impression.

    Innertkirchen is a quiet village.

    Innertkirchen is a quiet village. The environment is great and there is a Coop in Meringen which is not far. But please note that all supermarkets are closed on Sunday. So prepare what you need in advance for Sunday.

    The mountain setting is phenomenal...it is world-class, no question! Despite this, the area is not very touristy compared to other areas of comparable beauty. It is so different from other more well known areas where the tourists/visitors are such an overwhelming feature. The active farming community on Hasliberg is a huge positive..

    It's a perfect small village to escape from busy life and be close to nature. There is small supermarket in the village where you can buy most things you need during your stay. There is also an open air museum which is worth a visit showing different aspects of life in different regions of Switzerland.

    Only had a brief overnight stay but found that almost all the shops shut in the middle of Saturday afternoon and are closed on Sundays. Nothing against that, but it’s not ideal for a walking holiday. And the church bell tolls every 15 minutes, all night!

    I love this area and go often there.

    I love this area and go often there. For the lake, for the views up in the mountains, and for the many activities one can find to do on the lake and in the mountains. There's a wide variety of possible walks for all levels with very different type of sceneries and many creative ideas of activities for kids such as the "kugelweg", "Ballenberg", the dwarfs houses walk... I mostly like the Brienz-Meringen still very authentic side. I do not like Interlaken. From Brienz, it is very easy to travel around by car or public transports.

    Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts.

    Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts. It is not nearly as touristic as the nearby Interlaken and offers the chance to enjoy nature including Reichenbach falls, glaciers and the Aare Gorge cozily. A perfect escape location with a real Swiss spirit.

    Hasliberg area and Hotels Reuti and Twing had excellent helpful staff. Do not book Hotel Panorama, as they closed with no warning and my daughter was left stranded. Booking.com did not let us know either
