Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000 islands on the Canadian side. The town had some nice restaurants. The Old English Pub, Purple House and Grayson's at Wood View Inn. took a 5 Hour tour with City Cruises of the 100 Island with a stop at Boldens castle from the docks in town. It was fantastic. The vibe in town is very much geared to tourism. When i planned this trip I knew nothing about Gananoque, but I hit a home run.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0

Reeked of diesel fuel on Rockport Cruises unfortunately.
Reeked of diesel fuel on Rockport Cruises unfortunately. Otherwise it was a great cruise! Aquatarium was a little bit of a disappointment. There was plenty of room in the reptile area, but they were housed in cages that I felt were far too small for their needs with lots of space in between. 2 cages were empty and had no labels as if the reptiles had died. I really liked the part where kids could touch the creatures of the sea bottom, and I will suggest that to Science North in Sudbury, it is an excellent display. . But there were a few displays that were empty, the place kind of looked like they were in the midst of renos. Also, it was really far from parking and since I used a cane I felt it overly difficult. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did find a plush beaver for a very reasonable price in the gift shop.Guest review byLinda - 6.0

Watertown is close to 1000 islands, which is a beautiful stretch of the St Lawrence river. We drove through, but we are sure there are beautiful hikes to explore and of course if you have a boat, it is a paradiseGuest review byRobertCanada - 10.0

The scenery was spectacular; the boat trip just the right length and the tour guide informative. Boldt Castle and its surroundings are beautiful. A very pretty town, which seems largely unspoiled. As a visitor from England, I only wish I could visit more often!Guest review byMacGregorUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Clayton is a nice, clean little village with plenty to do. Bella's has the best breakfast ! We ate lunch at the Shipwrek right on the river. If you are a cheese lover, River Rat Cheese is the place to go. Getting around Clayton was very easy and parking was not a problem.Guest review byKathyUnited States - 10.0

I grew up in the Kingston area and will travel there to visit family throughout the year. I love the city, love being able to show it to my partner and discovering new things about the city. I often recommend it as a destination location to friends who may be planning a trip to Montreal or Ottawa from Toronto, and encourage them to spend some time in Kingston.Guest review byStewartCanada - 10.0
