- From US$145.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 699 reviewsWe arrived early and they upgraded our room. The balcony was a nice refuge from the rain. The hotel is upgrading the backyard for more hot tubs and places to just enjoy the outdoors. The beach was flooded but the lake access is underrated. It is stunning. And the local kayak rental is located on the beach. We could've rented kayaks and paddled into the Quilliam-Durrell Reserve behind the hotel. A place to spot all sorts of birds and wildlike. I'd return in the autumn.Guest review bywhitney kaulbachDominican Republic

This area Lac Brome is a very picturesque area, the people are very friendly and there are lots of very interesting quaint little novelty shops in town to visit. It’s a very scenic little town with a lot of charm appeal because the people are very friendly and laid back, nobody seems to be stressed out and down to earth, it kinda has the feeling of Mayberry from the Andy Griffith show, makes you appreciate the fact that there are still small towns like this in existence.Guest review byAnonymousCanada - 10.0

Our main reason to visit Lac-Brome (Knowlton) was to bask in the fascinating world of Louise Penny's Armand Gamache/Three Pines novels. And while the highlight for us was checking out the bookstore and the new café, we loved how beautiful the entire town was. There were so many interesting shops and restaurants to choose from, and it's the perfect place to explore on foot. We had an amazing dinner at Ensemble bar a vin, which offers locally grown and raised produce and protein sources, which were delicious! Breakfast at Auberge Lakeview Inn was also a mouth-watering experience; the smoked salmon eggs Benedict was to die for! We'll definitely spend more time in Lac-Brome when we next visit the Eastern Townships.Guest review byStarkCanada - 10.0

Lac Brome/Knowlton, and nearby towns such as Sutton, are more distinctively French than other parts of Québec that we have visited. French is the dominant language, but everyone we dealt with spoke good English, and even understood our rusty French. The Cantons de L'Est are well worth exploring. Fast and seamless border crossings from Vermont.Guest review byMac S.Ireland - 10.0
Sutton is lovely.
Sutton is lovely. Very central for following all the Louise Penny “Inspector Gamache” sights in the Eastern Townships. The IGA is good for groceries if you prefer to eat in . SAQ has all the alcohol you’d want if the local breweries are not in your budget. The ski hills and wineries are everywhere. Found great shopping for clothing too. Lots of people riding the bike trails through the beautiful hills; looks so much like Vermont!Guest review byDiane ThompsonCanada
