Nature at its Most Awesome
Home to one of the world’s most famous waterfalls, Niagara Falls is a town in Canada, not to be confused with its namesake on the other side of the river in the USA.
The Canadian town offers the best views of Niagara Falls, which are actually 3 waterfalls on the Niagara River. The main Horseshoe Falls magnificently thunders water over and bursts into spray as it hits the river. This spray is the inspiration for "Maid of the Mist", a boat that takes you close to the base of the falls – a fantastic photo opportunity.
Just downstream are the Bridal Veil Falls, the smallest of the 3, and next to them are the much larger American Falls. Both of these are in the USA, whereas the Horseshoe Falls crosses the border. You can also cross the border into the United States by walking over the Rainbow Bridge – just check your visa requirements first.
Many of the Canada Niagara Falls hotels are located by the riverside, so some offer fantastic views of these fabulous waterfalls. There are also lots of Niagara Falls hotels on Booking.com, so these are a convenient option if you arrive by car.

Plenty to do, international feel.
Plenty to do, international feel. A little pricey, and a bit touristy, but it is all to be expected when visiting the 8th "wonder of the world". I think what I would of liked to be aware of was the cost of parking. You pay to park everywhere you go. The overnight parking at the hotel was $35 but right across the street one block down parking was $20 for overnight. What an amazing place.🥰. 👍 Niagara Falls State Park was very clean, lots of shade/benches, nice walking surfaces, multiple restrooms (only had to stand in line once at the ladies). Staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Overall experience was fantastic! You can get pretty close to the water and still feel secure. Do the adventurers, Maid of The Mist and Cave of The Winds....love, love, loved it!!. Was breath taking and yes! You will get wet. Have to say after walking all day we hopped on the Trolley and did a little site seeing too. Cheap and nice little ride. Nice souvenir shops and not to pricey. So go ahead and purchase there. You won't have to wander around town that way. Did not eat at restaurant. Just grabbed a snack. We thought that was a little pricey. Before buying tickets, go to Welcome Center to get info. 👎 As in any park attractions, the lines to get into some places where long. But overall they moved smoothly. The falls did not disappoint, the Canadian side of the falls were gorgeous. The tour behind the falls and the observation decks were a great experience! I would recommend the Skylon tower, behind the falls tour and the boat ride by the falls! More than what I had expected.
More than what I had expected. Maid of the mists and Cave of the winds not to be missed. Very adventurous and enjoyable trip.
