Enormous room with lots of places to sit and even a rooftop terrace. Everything clean and well equipped. Great breakfast with lots of nice options. Perfect location near the Geel central square but not directly on it, so it's quieter. Wonderful staff, they lent me a bike for free so I could commute by bike to work for the week.

It's, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been at. The decoration is super rich with details, but surprisingly well balanced, creating an almost magical atmosphere. Huge congratulations to the design/decoration team. The breakfast was magnificent, we've dinned twice at the Bistro and were very pleased with both the food and the service (and the quite interesting wine list). The room was quite big, with a very confortable bed. We are doomed to return to your company soon :)

On arrival Yana gave us a really friendly welcome with lots of information regarding the local area and her botel. Yana went above and beyond to recommend somewhere to eat and make a table reservation for us. The cabin was well appointed, quiet and comfortable. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a relaxing, peaceful stay and a good night’s sleep. There was a good variety of breakfast items, all cooked fresh and of good quality. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Absolutely soul-touching experience! From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a serene atmosphere of relaxation and rejuvenation. The rooms are exquisitely decorates and it's a perfect blend of comfort and country side elegance. Every single detail matters in the design, and it was definitely made with love which makes the guest feel truly special and at home. Should mention exceptional breakfast, every product is of the highest quality, and is really lovely.

Stayed for a short weekend and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and close to some great walking and cycling routes. The view from the garden alone is worth the visit. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a bit of vintage charm. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you're looking to recharge and relax in a scenic spot, this is a great choice. Would definitely come back, maybe next time with bikes.

We travelled for work and booked a large room as we had suitcases and needed space to re organise. I’d say the room was bigger than expected. Staff was very helpful and made the stay so much better than a usual hotel stay. Location was great for our needs and I’d happily stay here again.

We have stayed before and it was good.

We have stayed before and it was good. This time, however, we were not informed that the restaurant was closed. It's in a remote place so having to get back in the car after a long journey didn't suit us. The windmill was covered with scaffolding - again, not informed that workmen were around. Only one other guest, and hosts were not present until we waited 20/30 minutes for them to come to let us in, and the woman came back for breakfast (which had to be chosen on arrival by way of a tick-sheet). As I said, it's in a remote place so nowhere to walk to; around 20 mins drive to town or shopping outlet. Sadly, the changes have turned it into a place we won't be visiting again.

The location was peaceful and the accommodation very comfortable. We enjoyed walking through the woods in the evening to a lovely restaurant overlooking the lake. It was an easy drive into Maastrict and also the pretty village of Oud Rekem - both worth a visit. We did not go into Lanaken itself as our time there was too short.

Geel has a rich and varied history. There was fierce World War Two fighting here a prelude to the massive Airborne operation, the subject of the film "A Bridge too Far". On the other hand the town pioneered the care of the mentally ill in the community as opposed to institutions about 150 years ago. Also has great restaurents around the town square.

The town has interested me for some time because of the geopolitical layout of it, as I'm sure will draw others to it as well. I really enjoyed spending the day exploring this further. As a downside, most of the town shut down on Monday — something I should have realised before planning things, but I've learned for next time.

Every time I go to B&B Droomzoet it is way to short. I am either passing through or stopping over from one of my many adventures through Europe, it is always a pleasure to see Isle & Peter. Seems like I have know them for years but I have only visited them on two occasions one just before Christmas last year and one a couple of days ago. This time I brought my friend with me to enjoy the experience and it was a sheer joy to come back and share it with him, as always Isle & Peter were the perfect hosts, didn't put a foot wrong and were happy to chat whenever they had time. The sheer beauty of the surrounding is heavenly if you want some peace and quiet from the busy lifestyle if only for a short break. Can't wait for my next visit to see Isle & Peter again.

Turnhout is pleasant enough, but not the most interesting place in Belgium. The town centre is walkable but there isn’t a lot to see. There are a lot of vacant shops and the commercial centre looks like it’s not doing too well. The train service to Antwerp and Brussels is OK. The highlights are the playing card museum, the main square, the castle and the churches. To be honest, I don’t know why anyone would visit Turnhout unless you had something specific to do there, as I had. Last year I was in Leuven, which is well worth a visit.

Maasmechelen is an excellent place to stay to visit the area where Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany meet. Recommend traveling by car. Maasmechelen is close to roads going to Maastricht, Aachen and Antwerp. Restaurants, supermarkets and the Maasmechelen Village Mall are nearby.
